Best Western looked different in the pictures. But it was quite spacious. One of the most spacious hotels we stayed in Norway. Breakfasts were the usual spread with sufficient variety. Free dinner was served every night. Here you see a similar spread from the morning but dinner items were also there. Upon departure we had to take an early morning... More

There is something about Spjelkavik. It is a bit run down, and this hotel kind of fits in. It also shares it's entrance with a bowling alley, which adds to the impression. So, even though the room is OK (no more), the lobby area is OK (despite tacky christmas lights in October, when I was there), and the outside area... More

We traveled to Alesund, Norway in May 2014. We researched many hotels and wanted one outside of the larger city. We had a rental car and we felt it was best to not be in the city center. We were a little worried that this hotel was adjacent to a bowling alley but in the end chose it for location.... More

My family of five arrived one late evening after driving for some nine hours. We had called in advance to ask for room availability, informing them that we have Hotel Express card. Upon arrival we were told that the card only applies to the cardholder (fair enough), so the second room would have to be on full price. But what... More

Best Western Hotel Baronen near Aalesund has a nice big room but hot and no air con so windows must be open as the tick carpet on floor keeps the room warm on a summers night. Bathroom good size good showers . Breakfast is good lovely Norwegian food and bread . The down fall is the hotel shares it accommodation... More

Typical working/business hotel without soul but with good breakfast and evening meal included. Rooms renovated by poor materials and old furnitures. Profesional and helpful stuff is a advantage. Bowling and some restaurands around. Shoping mall is not far as well.

The first time my wife and I stayed in a BW of north European. During summer holiday, I can't find a car park when checking in at late afternoon. Hotel staff was helpful and selected a corner room with big window for us. The room was big, really big for 2. The window was right opposite a quiet road and... More

Arriving at the Baronen Hotel, I wondered if we had made the biggest mistake chosing this hotel. It is one of the shadiest looking hotels from the outside - it is co-located with a bowling alley and there is a wine bar next door. But it was a long day of driving and I was too tired to try and... Over many years I have stayed & mainly had by business partners stay at this hotel. It was good to see that this hotel had joined the Best Western - Group. I feel that this has given the hotel an uplift, Also now with the recent re-build after the shopping center was taken away. Today the hotel has a very... More
