The building does not look too exciting from the outside, but the waterfront location is very good. Inside the hotel has all the trimmings you would expect from a 4 star business hotel. At weekends rooms rates can be very interesting for tourists too. Good breakfast buffet; gym and sauna on the lower floor look out over the harbour

The hotel location is very strategic for your city exploration and if you have a harbor view room, it's very nice to see. The personnel is friendly. A lovely hotel in a location that is worth the cost, right on the beautiful harbour. Staff very helpful and pleasant and our room on the waterside was so romantic, if not very well equipped. Breakfast was good. Car parking expensive. Based in the city centre is good for exploring this lovely and cultural city.

Ask for a room facing the harbour or internal court - mine was on the 2nd floor facing the street, so could hear all conversations... Go out to eat as dinner is very basic while costly! The same goes for bar selection - a good choice would be hotel bryggen just 2 buildings away with an excellent barman.
