We spent one night here during our recent trip to Norway, and were bitterly disappointed...it was far and away the worst place we stayed during our travels. The Rough Guide described the hostel as being in a "pleasant 1920s building", so even though it looked a bit like a prisonl from the outside, we figured perhaps it would be better... more

For a price barely below that of a reasonable hotel we were offered an 'apartment'. Sounded great, but we really should have turned right around and checked out as soon as we arrived. The 'apartment', described so wonderfully on the phone the day before, had four old bunk beds, a noisy fridge and an old sink. Some chairs that looked... more
