Whilst the living room/kitchenette was comfortable and the bathroom plush and modern, the main desire in booking somewhere to sleep is to actually sleep! What I couldn't believe, however, was that the bedroom didn't have any curtains! Given that we were staying in July when Norway doesn't really get dark, blackout blinds or thick curtains aren't a luxury but a... More

Yes this is a great way to save money in very expensive town and the history of the house and the surrounding area is super therefore it is well worth considering however there were some things you may find annoying. There are two routes, the owners route which is the shortest but over hilly cobbled streets which was a pain... More

A lovely guesthouse in a quiet area located a short, pleasant walk away from the centre. Having the kitchenette saves a lot of money as eating out in Bergen is very expensive and the owner told us where all the supermarkets were and even recommended the best activities in Bergen. We stayed in the loft apartment - clean and nicely... More

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights recently at this beautiful little guest house in Bergen Norway. The owners are very helpful and told us all about local restaurants; they are nice people and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the top floor apartment which has stunning views of the fjords out the window; the apartment was... More

Very nice an smal guesthouse located just in the center. The street it´s located is probably the narrowest small in town. Worth a visit just because of the street. The owner of the guesthouse is very helpful and willing to help at any time. He borrowed us a driving map and gave us very good tips for day trips outside... More

I stayed at Skuteviken in Feb, 2014 (had a meeting in Bergen). The place is located near downtown Bergen and it was a very comfortable stay. There was no breakfast though (despite the name B&B). The owner was very nice. A great price for a very comfortable room. Big Bathroom with heated floor. The wireless internet was high speed. Right... More

Having heard about how expensive restaurants are in Norway, we booked one of the 4 apartments so we could make our own food. The owners were very friendly and talked us through all the places to visit in the city, including the all important grocers! The House is a beautiful traditional wooden building in a cobbled street at the bottom... More

Even though our hosts were having a bit of a crisis (weekend home was flooding), they welcomed us, got us oriented, and even picked us up from the train station when we returned from our overnight Norway in a Nutshell tour (also highly recommended, stay over at http://www.flamsbrygga.no/en/ in Flam!) Our room was so homey and comfy, had everything we... More

We stayed there for one night. The hosts were friendly. they offered to pick us up at the train station. After a long day of Norway in a nutshell, it was a blessing to us that we were given the loft apartment as the room we originally booked was not available, while being charged the original price only! we were... We rented a small apartment in this conveniently situated guesthouse for three nights over new year. It turned out to be a great choice. As well as the central location, only 10 minutes walk from the city centre, it was very economically priced compared with other accommodation in Bergen. Our apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and warm with plentiful... More
