We chose the guest house after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay. The quaint wooden building is a great alternative to the uniform drudgery of most hotels. You are a ten minute walk from the historic part of town. One big advantage is the personal contact from the owners. You can get real good... more

This Guest House is in a great location and in a really cute old wooden house. We had the top floor which had plenty of space apart from headroom if you are tall because of the sloping ceilings. Bergen is a fantastic place to visit, stunning scenery, lovely people and excellent food. Prices are high but there is somwhere for... more

We started our 10 day holiday in Norway at Skuteviken Guesthouse and were delighted. The apartment we had was small but immaculate with new modern fittings, really comfortable bed and sofa, plus there were stacks of little hooks and storage drawers everywhere to put your things. Being able to hang up your coat is handy as it rains a lot... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in Bergen for 2 days at the end of our road trip around Norway. We were recommended Skuteviken's by a nearby B&B which was fully booked. In short, Skuteviken's Gjesthus was the highlight of our accommodation in Norway! The price, which was approx 80GBP for the night, was the cheapest we had and the accommodation... more

Skuteviken Gjestehus July 2008. Truly the land of the midnight sun. Stayed here for 2 weeks using as a base to travel/see the region. Local to Bergen itself-short walk to the wooded fronted shops,Bryggen, you see in the guide books and postcards! Everythings within reach-well positioned. Hosts/owners are a delight and very friendly. Plenty to keep you occupied in Bergen.... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in late September 2008 after many nights at sea. It was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. Situated in a picturesque, quiet location, only about 10 minutes walk from Byggen and 20 minutes from the station The owner was extremely helpful. I felt very welcome, almost like an old friend returning. Would fully recommend... more

We stayed at this guest house for five nights in March this year and found it to be very clean and comfortable. It is less than a ten-minute walk to the Bryggen along picturesque, steep, cobbled streets or through a small park past the Hakkonshallen. Solveig and Elvind were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The flat we had was on... more

This was a very comfortable newly renovated B&B. It was in a quaint area just a short walk into Bergen, or if you wished there was a bus stop just outside. The unit was very clean with a kitchen/lounge and seperate bedroom. There was a supermarket nearby. It had wireless internet. The area was historic with all the houses painted... more

Everything was perfect, the rooms are immaculately laid out and each is uniquely decorated. You get satellite TV too, free internet, and the owners even stayed up to meet us at 12am local time to allow us to check in (as they stay in a different property), waiting out by the main street to meet us in our cab! more
