I booked a short break at Guddalstunet after reading some romantic suggestions on the forum. This is a holiday cabin with a view down to the Hardanger Fjord from the small area called Guddal. It is delightfully quiet and serene. If you need to recharge your batteries this is where to do it! You will however, need a car (as you would for anywhere round here).

The cabin itself is rustic. You pay a little extra for bed linen (which I think happens elsewhere too). Do bring a towel with you! I would say the bathroom is a bit dissapointing (the basin looks like something a surgeon scrubs up in before operating). The rest of the cabin, is charming but we couldn't get the fire working without smoking into the lounge area. There are little electric heaters though so you shouldn't get cold.
