Location and size of the room were top. Room decoration was simple but nothing more is needed. We also liked the common dining room and the coffee bar next door (or part of the hotel?). We ordered our coffees and muesli there but could still eat our own bread. Checking in and out are computer-controlled which made it really easy... More

Dear Maarten V, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us at Citybox. Citycafe is not a part of our hotel, it is a seperate company that rents it's location from us. As there is a high demand of internet at the hotel from our guests it has been arranged so that our internet provider sends out... More

We were two couples. We were given 2 rooms which were for 4 people each and the price we paid was 1200 Nik each which is the price for 4 people in the room not 2. It is a cheap hotel if we paid for 2. However, it is a no frill place and they advertise that they are cheap... More

Dear Cila946, I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We have stated on all channels that we sell our rooms at that we charge per room not per person since we are a hotel not a hostel. If you would have booked one of our doublerooms you would have gotten a much lower price... More

The hotel was well located and the management was very responsive. You'll need a chip card to self check in otherwise you'll need to arrive during working hours. Management was good about helping with check in and booking via email. It's located 5 min from the rail station and 15 min from the main tourist area. The room I got... More

I stayed here for one night in a room for 4 persons. We payed about €150 for over night. It's very easy to check in and pay, you just use the computer in the entrance. Here you also get your key printed. The room was big and had some kind of plastic carpet, one double bed and one bunk bed.... More

Dear Maria, I'm sorry to hear that Citybox did not live up to your expectations. We are currently waiting for a company to come out and wash the outside of our windows as the outside can't be reached on most of the windows from the inside. If you had an issue with your bedlinnen and soap i wish that you... More

Stayed for 2 nights with husband and two children, ages 5 and 9. Location very convenient to Flybussen stop at main bus station from airport. Also very nice Kiwi grocery store just across the street. Conveniently walkable to city center and all tourist activities. Lobby area includes a microwave and kettle as well as paper plates, cup and utensils.

Citybox keep prices down by having self check-in and check-out. But it all worked flawlessly. The rooms trend to be small but well equipped with comfortable beds and bright modern decor. They provide a communal kitchen so you can prepare simple meals which also helpskeep to budget in a city where a simple hamburger can be $30. Supermarkets are nearby... More

Budget hotel, very close to the city center (5 min walk from the central square with the lake). Quiet street, easy to park. Nice rooms, nothing special though, just the things you need. No minibar. There is a kitchenette on the Ground floor with microwave. We were traveling with small kid so having where to warm up a cup of... More

Citybox is a very basic & budget hotel in Bergen with a convenient location. I chose the hotel as it is very close to the train station (and bus station as well) since I had to leave early the next morning for the Norway in a Nutshell tour. It was easy to find. Walking to the harbour and Bryggen only... More

Dear Fomos, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with your stay at Citybox Bergen. Norway is a very expensive country per general, and the hotels in Bergen are more expensive since it's a popular tourist town and there isn't enough hotel rooms to accommodate everyone. If you look at the prices of our hotel in comparison to the... More
