We stayed here 1 night recently, the hotel is very ideally situated next to the market in central Bergen and a short walk from the Floibanen so a good place to stay if you're touring the city and have a short time - a word of warning tho - it gets lively in Bergen at night - now we know... More

Booked my wife and I in for one night here as a treat before continuing on our trip around Norway. I'd expected some character from the hotel but was left disappointed with the room we were put in. I'd booked a standard double and we were initially put in one of the loft rooms on the fourth floor. The room... More

Very nice hotel albeit rooms a bit on the dark side. Staff so very helpful and buffet breakfast fantastic! Ideally placed right on the fjord in the heart of Bergen next to the Bryggen. We had a room on the street which on the Friday/Saturday nights was a bit on the noisy side. Would defo stay here again when visiting... More

The location of this hotel is perfect, Bryggen is just outside the main entrance and only 100 meters to walk to Fløibanen. But once inside the hotel you feel like going 100 years back in time (in a positiv way). We had a deluxe room - the room is altogether nice, ok size, but very dark since there were only... More

We had a great experience at this hotel. It was easy to find (we took the Flybussen from Bergen Airport) and Det Hanseatiske suited our preference for a historic place with modern conveniences. The hotel exterior blends right in with the rest of the Bryggen with its green and red painted wood. We had a lot of help from Erik... More

Stayed at the Hanseatic Hotel for two nights in August. Even though this hotel is in the heart of the popular and historic Wharf are in Bergen, it felt like it was off the beaten path. Our room was the most quaint room I've ever seen. It felt like a fairytale room (except for the bathroom which was modern). The... More

Because it's a really old building, the room is not on a horizontal line. We were quite shocked about this, but finally we had a nice sleep. The room to me was really dark, you can only find 2 little windows and the ceiling was not high enough. But the decoration was the same as the pictures, really close to... More

Hotel is great, truly a historic property, and our room was really beautiful, charming, spacious room. Extra bed (paid a lot for it!) was just a camping rollaway - I expected more from a luxury hotel. Breakfast was great, with wide variety of choices. Our room faced a side street, so there was no traffic noise; however, early morning trash... More

Right in the midst of the action. The room was all we expected. The free-standing tub was a treat. View from the window not desirable and the ear plugs provided were a concern but noise didn't seem to be a problem without them anyway. The room could have done with a bottle opener for the beers, otherwise use the huge... More

Characteristic hotel on a great location in Bergen. Breakfast is the best in town. Helpfull receptionist and clean and comfortable rooms (might get a little bit warm but you can open the windows). The building is historical and that makes this hotel unique.
