Quite a character filled residence. Old, yet stylish, with a great restaurant and friendly front desk staff. Stayed for one night only, but felt very homely and comfortable. Whilst some of the corridors could be mistaken for a rabbit warren, the place makes up for it with large open central walkways and windows and a great restaurant and bar. I... More

This hotel stands out first of all because of its location. It is situated in the old part of town, Bryggen, just alongside the Hanseatic museum, right on the waterfront. Just steps from the fish market. It is one of the ancient rebuilt buildings of the town. Staying here makes you feel as if you were in the 16th. century!... More

In a trip with so many chain hotels, choosing this one was definitely a very good thing! Very charming old building, where the old mixes with the new with class, and gives us that "home out of home" feeling during a trip. The location is perfect, just around the corner of Brygge, in front of a Mc Donalds, a Starbucks... More

Right at the start of the historic Bryggen lies this highly special hotel with excelllent staff and beautiful interior. Arriving a little early we were given an upgraded room since the one we had booked wasn't ready yet. Nice breakfast included made this stay unforgettable and reasonable. We will definately return. The entrance of the hotel is a little anonimous... More

I was going on a business trip to Bergen, and I did a thorough research to find the right hotel. Therefore the choice fell on this hotel. I was actually convinced after reading so many laudatory reviews. The hotel is very centrally located, yet secluded. The taxi driver did not know where it was and we had to ask several... More

I came to Bergen at a Monday morning without having booked any hotel for the night. I took a quick scan at booking.com and found this hotel with an excellent reputation and for the cheap price of 990,- a night. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed by the size of the room, the fact that I had both... More

The hotel is located at an excellent spot, right next to the houses of Bryggen. The room is nice and clean with a huge bathroom. The bathroom has a classy look and It has a lot of amenties too. The breakfast was also good. Enjoyed my stay a lot and will surely visit this place again if I revisit Bergen.

Bergen is beautiful when the sun shines and it is such a vibrant town, with street markets, restaurants and lots to see and do, it is of course being in Norway very expensive!! The old town multi coloured building are just down the road with excellent restaurants nearby. Norway is one of only a very small number of counties that... More

The hotel's location was perfect especially as the weather was a little inclement. It is old, traditional warm and cosy. We were able to walk out, see some things then return to get dry and warm up. The room was quite big and the twin beds not placed right next to each other, a great bonus. We had tea and... More

We selected this hotel based on its location in Bryggen. The old elements of the hotel add charm to the mod cons you expect. Our room was cosy with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was a feast and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would really recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bergen.
