Motel rooms, cabins (with and without shower) - 2-6 beds in each cabin, places for tents, camping wagons and campers. Lone Camping is just beside road no. 580, 19 km from the center of Bergen. With an area of 13 acres and space for almost 300 tents, it is Bergen's largest campsite. The idyllic location beside Lake Haukeland, with the shapely Liafjellet rising to 650 meters in the background, makes Lone Camping just the thing for people wanting the peace and quiet of the countryside but at the same time wanting the attractions, shops and culture of Bergen within easy reach.

Beautiful lake & mountain views, spotless facilities, affordable prices, supermarket & gas station conveniently nearby & responsive owners: wow! We were there in a motorhome & it has everything we needed: electricity, dumping stations, fresh water. The restrooms (with coin showers) deserve special mention for their outstanding cleanliness & how well maintained they are (toilet paper, hand soap, sanitizer). The place even has a kitchen, tv room & laundry. Now, it was very quiet when we were there so I don’t know if the place is kept that impeccable when summer crowds are there. Overall, definitely the best campground I have experienced the world over .

We were in Bergen for about 24h and needed a campsite for the RV. We searched for many places, but was met with disappointment at the options. We thought it was too far away but, reluctantly, we called Lone Camping. It was getting late and we appreciated that the office was open until 21h00. The staff was friendly and helpful on the phone. We drove off from Bergen city centre and, after all, was just about 20 min drive. We arrived onsite and, let me tell you, were impressed by the facilities. Don't trust the pictures! They make you believe this is some basic parking lot. The campsite is the best i've seen. Everything seems brand new or just about. The office is modern and beautiful. The location has a beautiful lake which you camp front-facing. Gives a great view. The showers are paid (15kr for 5min) and seems brand new. You can empty all your tanks and also fill the water. There is a gas station right at the door with food and every services you expect. I HIGHLY recommend!

It's a beautifull camping on a lake with a lot of facilities. Unfortunately during our stay of 2 days, one daythe weather was rainy. The camping has a lot of bad weather facilities so you can also relax when the weather is bad. It has a good connection by public traffic to Bergen. The staff is very friendly. I lost my pasport. They sent it back to my home adress for free. Hans Halbesma The Netherlands

Came to a very dirty cabin. Even though it was cleaned again the next day it didn’t make much difference. Kitchen corner was very nasty with super old dirt, old food and what looked like dead maggots. Tons of dust and spiderweb between the bed and the wall. Floor not cleaned properly. Chewing gum stuck to the wall. I had to pay 200 kroner when i booked this place online for them to clean the cabins themselves (might be a Covid rule). They reimbursed me the 200 kroner, but nothing else as one of the employees said that he would have no problem sleeping in a cabin that looks like this. I’ve sent the manager an email about this as well as pictures I took of the cabin. Would not recommend the cabins!!

We stayed here 2 nights in a tent and were happy with the standard. The showers and laundry facilities are coin operated. Tokens to be bought from reception and hot water access for showers is 10NOK for 5mins. There are large family bathrooms too. The site is located right next to a Shell filling station, a Spar and a Coop. You can buy bus tickets into Bergen at the Coop for £4.00 each way and the journey is 30mins - it includes changing onto a tram but using the same ticket.

I stayed here for 1 night with my wife and two young daughters. This review specifically relates to the large cabin we stayed in (as per the website: Cabin 4-6 pers with loftroom). The cabin is old and tired, while the kitchen did not include a kettle. The location is terrible, it's in the middle of a parking lot looking onto the back of the Shell garage, absolutely no view at all. Even if we wanted to sit on the balcony, there were pigeons roosting in the eaves with bird droppings all over the patio. The grounds are ok with the children's playground, but the cabin itself is very overpriced.

Very relaxing location and great views of the lake. You can also canoe in the lake but we had no time, so couldn't try. Bathrooms were clean and you also have a fuel station, bakery and a big store near by.
