Although it rained for the five days we spent in Bergen, the trip was a very pleasant experience because of our stay at the HPB. Our room was on the top floor of the main building with a beautiful view and it was a comfortable size. The entire building was sparkling clean. The staff, especially the women behind the front... Hotel Park Bergen had the perfect location that was a little removed from the tourist driven areas and cookie cutter hotels. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to see the sites that Bergen has to offer. The hotel itself is quaint. The rooms are not very impressive with furnishings and decor, but suffice for a short stay. The bed was... More

Approx. 1km from the city we found this nice historic hotel. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast, partly homemade or organic. No lift, so be prepared to carry your baggage up the stairs, which was no problem for us. The hotel differs from the modern, anonymous norewegian big hotels and we liked it very much. If you come in mid-august,... More

This little boutique hotel short walk to center of town, although heading back is up a hill. Well worth it though. Typical European small rooms but clean and well appointed. We opted for balcony room, little bigger and charming. Great friendly service and a wonderful breakfast. Good find

I had made two separate bookings on the hotel's own website, each for two nights for one double and one single room, as neither booking.com or the hotel website seemed unable to handle this combination. Upon arrival the single room booking was recognised by the reception staff but had for some reason not reached the central booking system and as... More

Hotel Park is located outside the main tourist area. At first it seemed too far outside, but we quickly realized that Bergen is a small city and the walk to Bryggen was only 10 minutes -- with plenty of shops and cafes along the way. (Håkonsgaten street has several urban chic stores catering to hipsters.) We stayed in the Annex... More

This is a lovely hotel - we were lucky enough to book a suite and found ourselves in a room with a large lounge and small kitchen with nice view across the city rooftops. Breakfast is included and is served from 6:30-10:30 on the weekends in the cosy dining room in the main building (we were in the annex on... More

My family of 4 stayed at the Park Hotel Bergen recently during a vacation through Norway. I had mostly focused on booking one of the larger hotels near Bryggen and the fish market. However, late in our planning we had to switch dates and the hotel I’d chosen wasn’t available. I was able to reserve our new dates at the... More

We had 2 rooms on the 1st floor which were very comfortable and cosy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our boat was leaving at 8pm the following day and we were allowed to leave our luggage and come back for hot drinks and brownies before leaving at 6pm. The overall feeling was very nice and welcoming.

A friend and I stayed at the Hotel Park Bergen in July, 2015 – we were there for two nights, then away on a short “Norway in a Nutshell” excursion on the Sognefjord, and then back to the hotel for one additional night. We had the same room for both of our short stays – a twin room on the... More
