We booked a double room but were upgraded to the suite on arrival. That was great as the suite had a large living area with separate bedroom. It did have a kitchenette with stove and oven but unfortunately no utensils, cooking equipment etc. As we only stayed 2 nights it wasn't something that concerned us - we ate out. Bed... More

Stayed for two nights, just a small, nice kind of oldfashioned hotel. Just loved it. Nice beds, close to the city but still very quiet area. The hotel is familyowned, maybe thats why the athmosphere is so homey - and the breakfast is great.

Stayed for just one night in this "oldfashioned" hotel. Nice beds, woodenfloors and very good breakfast. Close to the citycenter, but still in a quiet area so no problem sleeping even if we had to open all windows due to no aircon:). Normally this will not be a problem in Bergen, but this summer the weather has been acceptional. The... More

What an experience!!! i just loved this hotel - not only for its brownies (and i consumed many of those at different times of the day and night :), but for the whole package! Wonderful reception staff - helpful, always smiling, happy to help in any way they can and hospitable! The room was comfy and cozy with a spectacular... More

The problem (no keep reading!) with a Hotel like this is that while you know that just outside the door, there are the world acclaimed sites of Bergen to explore - there is just a little part of you that would like to curl up with a good book, a coffee and a brownie (or two), and enjoy what is... We stayed five nights at this hotel. I loved the feel and decor of the hotel as it had warmth and atmosphere, in a clean modern setting, with the character of antique furnishings. The staff were generally very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were very good and well presented, though it was difficult to access food if two other people were... More

The hotel lobby and breakfast area are nicely decorated with and have a vintage feel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options available. Coffee, tea and brownies are available any time through the day, which is a nice touch.

This hotel is located about 10 minutes (uphill!) walk from the city center, but worth the trek. It appeared to be a refurbished historic building with lots of charm. The front desk was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was small (not too many hot items) but sufficient. Tea and coffee and brownies (!) were served all day. My room... More
