I book this hotel every time I am in Bergen (on average 2 times/year). It is centrally located in a quiet area and the city centre is on walking distance. Staff are very friendly, breakfast is delicious and the rooms are OK. Good wireless internet connection for free. It is not a traditional business hotel, but more a cosy family... more

My family and I revisited Park Hotel this summer. After very positive experiences from before (both from Romance trip with my wife and with whole family), the entire family voted for a return to the Klose family and the charming Park Hotel again. Nice, clean rooms and I would say also big rooms compared to other simular hotels I've stayed... more

Thank you very much for such a positive review. We really appreciate it :-). Hotel Park Bergen had a change in management from November 2008, and we have worked very hard with improving the experience for our guests. We are therefore very happy to see so many positive reviews here during the last year. So - to the improvements you...

Our experience of Hotel Park Pension is totally positive. My family, boy and girl 11 years and my wife and me, stayed for 4 days this january, as we have done for several years now, and we love it. The location is quiet, although only a few minutes walk to centre of Bergen. The hotel is really something outside mainstream... more

Dear Siddis42. It´s always a pleasure to have you staying with us, and we hope to se you soon again. Same procedure as every year I presume? After the management change in november 2008, we have made a lot of effort to improve the overall quality of the hotel experience, and we hope that you too, as "old customers" also...

Charming place, perfectly located within walking distance of the Natural History Museum and all other attractions of super charming Bergen. Room was pretty cool, on a corner overlooking an intersection where we could watch junkies entering and leaving the park. Oh, did I say junkies? I am not saying there are problems in and around this park; it's probably like... more

We were not prepared for the steepness of the climb to the hotel and then they put us on the third floor. Because there are no stores, restaurants, etc. nearby, everything required a trip down and up the hill and stairs. The staff were helpful, the breakfast good, and the rooms clean. The only nearby attraction is the natural and... more

As already mentioned in the other reviews the hotel is located somewhat outside the city center in a residential area. Advantage is that you have free parking space available and that the area is rather quiet (this is however not the case on Saturday nights where all the young folks around the are seem to celebrate the soccer results, get... more

The hotel is a short walk from the bus and train station. As has been already said it is an older hotel with lots of antiques around. We had a lovely room with a balcony which had a fantastic view of the mountain. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient. Due to the excellent rate and position they... more

While the Hotel Park Pension wasn't bad, it did not live up to our expetations, either. First thing, it is in a residential neighborhood near the university. It is within walking distance of the city center, restaurants, tourist sites, et al, but it is a pretty good hike up the hill. We were in the annex across the street from... more

Old-fashioned family-run hotel in a pleasant residential neighborhood ten to fifteen minutes from the harbor and the main tourist hotels. Our room was small but comfortable, with good chairs, reading lights, and a view of the town. Calm; good value. We found the service somewhat dour, though. Breakfast is from 7-9, which means that all the food disappears promptly at... more
