We stayed in Bergen Montana Hostel for two nights in August of 2014. We had a private room which included a bathroom. We paid NOK $1700 for those nights, which works out to about $130 per night in US dollars. Given Norway's exorbitant prices, that was a pretty good rate. This is what I liked about the Bergen Montana Hostel:... More

Great place to stay! most rooms are 4 bed dorms, plenty of space to move around! Free breakfast too, not too keen on the fishy foods, but the rest of it is all top notch! Communal showers but that's all good! Great common rooms and cooking facilities to feed yourself and with a supermarket just down the road, it's easy... More

The hostel is located on mountain, which can be reached easily by bus and a small walk. The air is refreshing there and the environment is quiet and peaceful. The hostels is big and includes quite many facilities and space, for example canteen and playroom. [[[My Recommendation]]] DO NOT MISS the beautiful sunset of Bergen, where you can see from... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Montana Family & Youth Hostel. The place wasn't too hard to find from their directions, and the view on the bus ride from the city center to the hostel is very nice! The beds are very simple but clean and were to my liking. There is also a full kitchen and big common area... More

Whilst I have seen complaints on here about the Youth Hostel at Montana in Bergen, I can say that I have no complaints whatsoever (other than the patchy weather & that can hardly be blamed on the hostel!) . It is located slightly out of town, but it is a straightforward 20 minute journey from the centre of town, and... More

We stay in a Basic double room (not bunked). Big car-parking. Nice Breakfast with some typical food. Common areas are really basic. Nice living-room. Poor WiFi. Not toomuch friendly reception. Small breakfast area for toomuch people.

Simple , clean and cheap accomodation in Bergen. Owncatering, walking distance to town, quiet and friendly. A youth hostel, but I have been there twice with kids and once with full family and i suits us fine, you will not be indoors anyway in Bergen ;)

We booked a private room for two. There is a big parking area at the hostel, so you can park your motorbike practically under your window. This was great advantage compared to the hotels in centre. The hostel also has laundry and a dryer. Good food, nice rooms, excellent service and all this for relatively cheap price. In the neighborhood... More

I stayed in a private room with a friend for two nights. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast is excellent, plus they have some good initiatives like selling pizza at the front desk and free coffee and cookies between 17:30 and 18:30. Nice common area. We didn't try to cook, but I agree with others the kitchen... More
