This is a cute little house with 6 or 7 rooms. Now as I was traveling on my own, I stayed in the single room, which is the smallest and least appealing of the rooms. There is no doubt that Norway is very expensive and this was a good deal considering. The room itself is not overly pleasant and I... more

This was probably my favorite accommodation of our whole trip to Norway, and also the cheapest, which makes it an amazing good deal. Our room was charming, simply furnished with cute vintage furniture and had gorgeous views of the town. We also enjoyed a lot the cozy and stylish living room, with its comfy sofas and all day self-service tea... more

We spent 2 nights here in July 2008, in the basement room with kitchenette and separate private bathroom. We would recommend this pensione to anyone. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. (They prepared a packed breakfast when we had a 6am flight to catch) The breakfasts were great, as was the location (if you don’t mind a few steps)... more

Skansen is a quaint centrally located pensjonat. It's a fairly easy walk from both the harbor and train station which we appreciated because it saved us a bundle on taxi fare (although the climb is steep). It's right above the funicular station and has a great view of town. The rooms were cozy but nice with a sink in room... more

Our first choice accommodation was booked out so we booked a couple of nights here. I didn't take much notice of the description of the accommodation when booking as I was happy to find something in our price range. This would be my first choice every time in future. Our welcome was warm and we were delighted when we got... more

We stayed at the Skansen Pensjonat for four nights. For the first three nights we had an apartment with private bathroom. The last night we stayed in a double room w/ shared bath. Both were wonderful, as was Jannicke, the owner. I would recommend any room here but we particularly liked the apartment for the private bath and room to... more

Lovely little guesthouse up a hilly street in a pretty and central area of Bergen. The price (600K for a double room) was very good value for Norway, where everything is really expensive. We had a cute double room in the attic of the house, with a great view from the skylight. The room was simply but tastefully furnished, with... more

Skansen is exemplary of everything a pension/guesthouse/B&B should be: clean and efficiently run, with the lived-in atmosphere of someone's home and a warm and welcoming staff. In a town with few inexpensive hotels, it represents an excellent value for the traveler who is minding his budget. I stayed in an economy double room (with shared toilet and shower facilities) for... more

I stayed here for 2 nights with my son and my friend. Our trip was to watch our football team Everton FC who where playing FC Brann in the UEFA Cup. We won 2-0. Our room was the balcony room and there was plenty of room for the 3 of us, the balcony was great for sitting out and people... more
