I was on a training course in Bergen and the hotel was booked from my company. This was my first trip to Bergen. It was very easy to find. There is a shuttle bus from the airport and the central Bus station is very close to the hotel. In front of the main entrance across the street is the Central Train station .So it... We chose the hotel mainly because of the central location near to the train and bus station. It was a 5-10 minute easy walk to the fish market. We had a triple room, and I requested bed arrangements and a quiet room in advance. Both requests were met, and I was happy with the size of the room, which still... More

We did the NIN trip and got off at the Bergen train station. The hotel is a 2 minute easy walk away. Room was a little small, like many Euro cities. But breakfast was good, and location was perfect for us. Quiet, about a nice 20 minute walk from Bryggen. Another NIN traveler was complaining about staying in Bryggen and... More

The rooms are quite small and a little noisy. Parking is not free and in a difficult to access multi-storey along the street, but would be ideal for train travellers as it's over the road from the station. Breakfast is good. Overall it is not particularly good value for money. Hotel advertises as 4 star, but it's more like 3.... More

This is a very quaint hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable and a little noisy. It's ok for a night or maybe two. The breakfast buffet is large and has plenty to choose from. It is a leisurely 8-10 minute walk to the waterfront and Bryggen.

Charming hotel. Old style. Rooms need an upgrade. No air conditoning on extremely hot days. It was so difficult to sleep. Also there was a party at an apartment across the street, lots of noise, staff at the front desk told me he could not do anything about it. He could not do anything about no fans in the hotel... Hotel Terminus in Bergen is a beautifully restored historic hotel with small but comfortable rooms. But, it really comes down to the question about what you need the hotel for . . . TO SLEEP. Apparently, when there's a party (wedding, last night till 1 AM, then the staff moving all the furniture back to the proper places) in the... More

You cannot go wrong with this hotel. We followed the advice of other reviewers and asked for a room in the back of the hotel on the 4th floor. Very quiet and pleasant. I liked the two confortable chairs in the room - which was a descent size (especially for Europe). Staff very pleasant. The highlight was the breakfast and... More

The Grand Terminus hotel is an elegant, older hotel situated next to the railway station; the bus station is alongside the railway station, and a big shopping centre is also nearby, so a convenient location. It is also only a short walk to the town centre, the fish market and all the tourist attractions. We had a very pleasant stay... More
