Before anything, ALEXANDER at the front desk was great! Hotel amenities were ok. However, we were failing the water on the third floor, it was warm, so we opened the window and the noise was unbearable! In addition, we were in a section of the hotel that required us to go up/down steps to get to the elevator, and with... More

Make sure to ask for harbour view, there is an upcharge, but well worth it! Have dinner in the restaurant, the breakfast will leave you ready for serious sight seeing! The staff could not have been more helpful, there is a nice bar to relax in before dinner too. Tucked right behind the Bryggen area in Bergen. Perfect location!

Nice hotel, perfect location. We shared the suite: 4 people fit in very well. Rooms, public areas and reception clean and welcoming. Great breakfast and free coffee and water during day, just perfect. Near everything to be seen in Bergen.

Spot on location, Breakfast is poor juice is from consentrate without a healthy/fresh alternative. The baths need an upgrade but is ok i hate bathtubes should have a walk in shower alternativ without risk of falling stepping in and out of bathtub before and after showering. But thats a general thing for norwegian hotels. staff is friendly and nice. gym and... More

I was really happy with the check-in and cleanliness of our room, which was booked as a junior suite. While some don't like booking a room to the courtyard, I personally like the courtyard because there is absolutely no sound from the street so it's nice and quiet. I can also say the walls are very thick between our rooms,... More

We had booked a standard room for two nights and were absolutely not happy with it. As other reviewers stated the floor was scratched to pieces, the walls dirty and scuffed and the room generally very shabby as well as cramped. The pictures posted on the internet must have been taken a decade ago. We would have lived with it... More

Except for the standard of the room our stay was very well. We had a standard double room, and the floor was very worn and the yellow walls had alot of stains and scratches. Breakfast was excellent even though i had to ask for more egg and bacon.

Travelled on a Globus tour of Scandinavia. In Bergen we were given room 340 which was hot with no ventilation, and a window which could not be opened and high up on the wall making the room claustrophobic. The room opens into a corridor which again had no ventilation and had a musty odour. This soured an excellent tour.Globus advertises the tour as a... Large bedroom with wooden floors, large windows, tall ceiling, tastefully furnished. Largish bathroom with attractive tile floor, convenient fixtures. Comprehensive and generous breakfast buffet serving 6:30 to 10:00. This hotel is priced competitively and I consider it a bargain relative to other offerings in the area.

Going back in time. It was the perfect location. Great bed, lots of space. The check in was a bit rough at 1:00 am in the rain, no help from the singular staff. Bad directions to the room, the luggage trolly had to be carried down eight steps. The garage is difficult to find and don't follow the signs when... More
