I have just looked at the website and noticed how much bigger the rooms are to what we stayed in....being part of a large tour group, once again we were given the tiniest room but the other aspects of this hotel made up for the shortfall. Room was very tiny but cosy. Bedding comfy and the ability to open up... More

Chosen via booking.com this proved to be a inspired choice with a wonderful room overlooking the harbour which cost only £150 per night for the two of us. Bargain. Staff on reception and elsewhere very high standard and I suspect Norwegion. The whole hotel exuded quality and the breakfast was epic and starts at 06.30 during the week which is... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times and will come back on my next trip to Bergen. It has a great location which is central but not noisy. It is just a short walk to Fisketorget and Fløybanen. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms vary a lot in size.

Most hotel middle of the range in Bergen are more expensive than they should be, or would be any where else. Having said that this was is OK. The room is pleasant and a good size for this City. The carpets in the passage ways are a little worn in places, but it is clean and tidy. Beware at breakfast,... More

The hotel is located in a great location. Rooms are large . Breakfast was very crowded and difficult to get a seat. Complimentary wifi a PLUS! Hotel is close to shopping and many restaurants. Hotel is great for group tours.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as part of out Gate 1 Scandinavia bus tour. We were lucky enough to have gotten a large room. There were also heated floors in the bathroom. We had no problem with any noise. The location was great - easy walk to the funicular and fish market. Free wifi.

This place has a great location, and some rooms have lovely views. But beyond that, it's disappointing. Our room (426) was not one of the more spacious rooms, and the bathroom in particular was small with a small bathtub. Like many reviewers have said, the place is stuck in a time warp: the décor and facilities are tired, dated and... More

Before anything, ALEXANDER at the front desk was great! Hotel amenities were ok. However, we were failing the water on the third floor, it was warm, so we opened the window and the noise was unbearable! In addition, we were in a section of the hotel that required us to go up/down steps to get to the elevator, and with... More

It was the first time that I got such spacious room with three big windows in European Hotels! Since I am a big fan of natural lights and windows in rooms, very happy about this bright corner room. Even though Bergen in August is not so cold, the floor heating in the bathroom was still on, so felt very cosy... More

Make sure to ask for harbour view, there is an upcharge, but well worth it! Have dinner in the restaurant, the breakfast will leave you ready for serious sight seeing! The staff could not have been more helpful, there is a nice bar to relax in before dinner too. Tucked right behind the Bryggen area in Bergen. Perfect location!
