We used this hotel (booked through a cheap reservations service) to stay before and after a cruise. It was a truly lovely experience. A warm welcome greeted us, with complimentary waffles and coffee, and our room was delightful - with views across the water towards the old sailing ship and out towards the islands. We had a small balcony, control... More

Stayed in Augustin Hotel with two daugheters during Easter week. Spacious room and a reasonable bathroom for three persons. Clean rooms and friendly helpful staff manning the reception. Very reasonable price given central location and a great hearty breakfast buffet included. Also free coffee and waffels in the afternoon. You will probably not go wrong if you decide to stay... More

The room was spacious but the 2 single beds were tiny. Decor looks old and tired. Facilities are basic but it's clean, that's the most important. Breakfast on the first day was a bit disappointing. with 1.5 hr left of brekky hours, most of the hot food only had scraps left. Tables were left with crumbs and dirty plates. However... More

Make sure to request a newly renovated room(triple or deluxe double),regular double or older rooms are smaller and a bit worn. Some older rooms do have better harbor views.Triple and deluxe rooms are a good size with modern bath and decent sound proofing.I save a lot of money by booking the hotel thru the Augustin reception.(350 kronas less then booking companies... I usually prefer to use 5 star accomodation, but my travelling companion chose this hotel for us. The Augustin is in an excellent location, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff are lovely, the service is wonderful, and the breakfast is good. A lovely and charming little hotel, thank you!

Great hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Stayed only one night due to boarding a ship. Breakfast was great, afternoon tea was waffles and jams and the coffee bar was open 24/7 Clean and good sized rooms with comfort.bathroom floor heated. Close to port and shops.

Bed was good and long enough. Chanel's on the tv where disappointing. A few Norwegian channels and one English Chanel (BBC news) could have had a little more. Friendly and helpful people at the front desk. Good internet speed on the wifi, could have been luck. Comforters where long enough, which is a huge plus. The gym / workout room... More

Stayed for only one night but have no complains about the hotel. Location is very good - close to harbour and city centre. The flybus to the airport stops at the door and you can buy tickets from reception. Friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast and comfortable room.

Hotel is in a great location. Service and amenities are great. The beds could be more comfortable, but overall a good value for the location. The breakfast is very good with a nice selection. Enjoyed the wine bar as well. Very unique.

Stayed for 4 nights end of February. Wasn't expecting much as we got B&B for a bargain price. Hotel exceeded our expectations. Reception staff very helpful. Room with a sea view and small balcony was lovely. Beds really comfortable and good pillows and duvets. Bathroom small but functional. Location brilliant. Waffle maker amazing, by the end of our stay we... More
