Lovely, large standard double room. Clean and comfortable. Staff on reception very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee available (free) all day in lounge and waffles from 4pm to 6pm was a real bonus after a day of sightseeing. Well located and convenient for tourist attractions and restaurants. Excellent buffet breakfast.

We got 'bumped' to staying here after a late night arrival and booking in Best Western Hotell Hordaheimen. The Best Western took it upon themselves to move our booking to the Augustin, which we were perterbed about (due to a huge bike rally....but they in fact didn't know why the city was fully booked!) As mentioned by many others, the rooms are small. The first room we were given was so narrow that there was no space for a bedside table. We were given a better room, but it was still small. However, the service and food was good.

Hotel is in a quiet location just a few minutes walk from Bergen Fish Market and Town Centre. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. Room (for 2) was enormous with settee and two armchairs as well as desk & chair, queen sized bed and still room to have a party in the centre of the room.... More

Located a very short walk - 5 minutes - from the centre tis hotel although not much from the outside is fine. Good reception staff, excellent rooms (try and get a double on a corner), clean, well furnished, comfortable beds. Complimentary tea/coffee and cook your own waffles between 4 and 6 daily in the very comfortable lounge. Good breafast buffet.

this hotel doesn't belong to a chain as far as i know. so it is very individualistic but you have to walk quite some time to downtown. in my case the rate on the hotel website was considerably lower than what i was offered on sites like expedia etc.
