Just 1500 m from the center of Trondheim, but in a quite, green park, is the big house of Singsaker Sommerhotel situated. Comfortable rooms for single or double, with bathroom & toilet or with shared bathroom, not expensive, but clean and generous breakfast.

We stayed one night in this hostel; parking is free and just at the front. Our room overlooked the front which was very nice. It was more of a bedsit than a proper hotel room. Part of the double bed was squeezed under what seemed to have been kitchen top cupboards so it was impossible for 1 of the 2... More

I was going to Trondheim for a conference, as the hotels were extremely expensive I booked into the Sommerhotel. The private rooms are feel fresh and clean, comfortable and secure with fresh linen and towels. I also stayed in the dorm for a couple of nights which is slightly cramped and less secure, fine if you're on a budget but... More

It's possibly the cheapest bed you can get in Trondheim, but the rooms are tiny with little privacy (both visual and acoustic), the bathrooms jammed in the morning. Worst thing are the slamming doors in the morning - Don't expect to sleep long. Breakfast and service is good, though. Next time I'd rather spend 20 euro more for a little... More

the rooms in this hostel are very basic, just to beds and a sink, and apparently they are pretty old, too - in the beginning I was a little disappointed, because Singsaker Sommerhotell is not that much cheaper than other very beautiful hotels I stayed in, but they more than make up for that with a nice atmosphere and a... Student dormitory in quiet and pretty area of Trondheim. We had a large room with two single beds and simple ensuite shower. No self catering kitchen or guest fridge. Professionally catered breakfast buffett in large dining hall, simple but sufficient.

Stayed for two weeks since it was such a pleasant place to live. The hotel is situated in the most tranquille neighbourhood of Trondheim with a short beautiful walk to the very center. The breakfast gives you the best value for money in Norway and the atmosphere of the hotel is truly special. The staff will go out of their... More

I was intrigued because the building was constructed by occupying Germans in 1940 as an officers' club. It has been used since the war as housing for students during the school year. In the summer, it is a hotel. The ambience is that of a dorm or hostel. The rooms are nice enough, with a large bedroom and bathroom, and... More
