I've stayed there for 4 nights with my boyfriend. We got a twin room; it was pretty good. We had our own bathroom and a kitchen (you can have the utensils giving a deposit). The hostel doesn't give you any bed linens and towels: but you can rent them there. So, if you have the possibility bring your own. We... More

I recently stayed at Anker with some friends. We weren't sure of what to do in Oslo but the hostel staff were so helpful and informative. The rooms were clean and spacious with our own kitchen appliances - you could rent dishes with a deposit :) The hotel was exactly what we were looking for, cheap and cheerful, near the... More

Decent enough. The corridors to the room feel a bit like a storage depot but the room was actually fine. Helpful staff, too. Took about 10mins to walk to the train station. Same time to reach the main city centre. There's a convenience store more or less next door which is handy. The hostel has a cool little communal area... More

Stayed here for one night between trains. I would not like to stay here for much longer than that. There are so many nicer places to stay around Oslo. But if you want a central accommodation cheap (I mean... cheap considering this is Norway...) for a rather short stay this hostel is fine. Positive: Central, good wifi, fairly cheap. Negative:... Thanks to the reviewers! Having to read most of them, we came to this place prepared with towels and bed linens so we did not have to pay for them. We booked a twin room but we were given a spaciously big four-bedded room with tables and a kitchen. I cannot complain because the bathroom is very clean and the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights when visiting Oslo. Was very happy when we checked in as it was a 4 bed room and we had asked for a twin. There was a table and kitchenette unit, however we didnt use them as you had to rent utensils and we didnt see the point of doing so when we were only... More

The hostel provides affordable but basic accommodation, but nothing more than that. I stayed in an 8 person ensuite dorm. The room which was a good size and comes with a self contained kitchen. However, It's difficult to use the kitchen with people wanting to go to bed and having to stump up a 200kr deposit to use any utensils.... More

I stayed here for 3 weeks, which sounds little crazy. Accommodation in Norway is extremely expensive so there was no choice for me and also it was quite a budget hostel. Good location, most of staffs offered cheerful service (seems one are not happy with her work though). But there were also something I wasn't satisfied with. Shared bath room... More

One of the nicer hostels I've stayed in - it's located in a convenient spot near the city center, natural history museum, and train station, has fairly reliable wifi throughout (including IN THE ROOMS, something I'm finding depressingly rare in hostels), comfortable beds. It's clean and the staff are nice, and they also take credit/debit cards (something else I don't... More

We slept at Anker Hostel three nights. The location of the hotel is ok, 10 min. walk from the central station but in a bad neighborhood. The room are basic, with no place where to lay anything so it is a bit uncomfortable. We couldn't use the kitchen because it's in the room, and we found always people sleeping early... More
