I stayed in this hotel with 4 girl-friends, during 4 nights at Easter. We were not as lucky as to have the room in private for the 5 of us any night; we shared every night with different guys, which made the stay a bit uncomfy. The room are not too big for 8, we not plenty of space to... More

Staff were very help, friendly, and accommodating. The hostel itself was odd. They charged for everything they could get out of you (like luggage room, sheets, etc) and the dorm area felt really dingy. The common area was also really small for the number of people staying there. Overall I'd stay there again, but only for the people.

A friend and I stayed here on a weekend trip to Oslo. The room was alright, a bit basic. There was a fridge, but it looked like it was in need of a good scrubbing out. We did have an ensuite, however as the only female in a 6 bed mixed room, having some sort of shelving for toiletries or... More

I was only here for a night, but it was a nice place. Comfortable, clean, and friendly. You have use of your own kitchen in the room, which I think is super in an expensive city such as Oslo. It was a fine location, easy to walk to and from the train station. Has a nice area to hang out... More

I've stayed there for 4 nights with my boyfriend. We got a twin room; it was pretty good. We had our own bathroom and a kitchen (you can have the utensils giving a deposit). The hostel doesn't give you any bed linens and towels: but you can rent them there. So, if you have the possibility bring your own. We... More

I recently stayed at Anker with some friends. We weren't sure of what to do in Oslo but the hostel staff were so helpful and informative. The rooms were clean and spacious with our own kitchen appliances - you could rent dishes with a deposit :) The hotel was exactly what we were looking for, cheap and cheerful, near the... More

Decent enough. The corridors to the room feel a bit like a storage depot but the room was actually fine. Helpful staff, too. Took about 10mins to walk to the train station. Same time to reach the main city centre. There's a convenience store more or less next door which is handy. The hostel has a cool little communal area... More

Stayed here for one night between trains. I would not like to stay here for much longer than that. There are so many nicer places to stay around Oslo. But if you want a central accommodation cheap (I mean... cheap considering this is Norway...) for a rather short stay this hostel is fine. Positive: Central, good wifi, fairly cheap. Negative:... Thanks to the reviewers! Having to read most of them, we came to this place prepared with towels and bed linens so we did not have to pay for them. We booked a twin room but we were given a spaciously big four-bedded room with tables and a kitchen. I cannot complain because the bathroom is very clean and the... More
