This was my first full hostel experience and I have to admit that it was not as good as I had expected. We booked a shared room because there was no availability of private rooms. The room, as well as the bathroom, ware not properly cleaned. For instance, the pillow had stains from previous travelers. Moreover, bed linen was provided... More

We stayed here two nights, one week apart. Pros: It's cheap. There are always people up and willing to chat (if you're into that). The wifi is strong. Cons: You have to pay for bed sheets (just include them in the price! It's disgusting not to require it). The bathrooms are tiny and have absolutely no ventilation. The walk from... More

Also in this hostel you have to pay for bedsheets if you do not bring your own. This thing is very common for scandinavians, unfortunately for other nations something unbelievable. Secondly I have slept in a room with very bad ventilation and almost no oxygen. Thirdly if you want to use something in kitchen, you have to rent also cutlery,... More

I only stayed one night here, service was good reception area is good, wifi is good, room was female only which was very nice after snoring boys for 3 weeks! What I didn't like about it was the price.. $50 a night for an average dorm room with not many power outlets and no air con.. also another $10 for... More

I was there for one night. It was one of the cheapest prices that could be find near downtown. But, at least, I was expecting a soap, a shampoo, towel and a "not-clogged" shower drain. The check-in time is also very late (3:00 pm) while you must check-out before 11.

We stayed at this hostel for one night in a twin room. Hence, wont be able to comment on the dorms. The room was pretty cool. There is nothing great about the hostel. At 500 NOKs, they should have kept breakfast complementary. But, you need to pay, I guess 50 NOKs for the breakfast - the restaurant is approx. 300-400... More

Me and a friend made a trip to Tromso, but our return flight was delayed, therefore we missed our train and got stuck in Oslo for the night. Searched for a hostel, and ended up in Anker Hostel, which seemed to be nice from the outside. The guy at the front desk was weird, firstly gave us a room that... More

I stayed here with a large group, and enjoyed the great location and price. However, their customer service went above and beyond. They were incredibly helpful in providing directions (and even advice and tips for navigating the Norwegian health care service after I got a bad ear infection), and BEST OF ALL: after I left my jacket and scarf in... This hostel had a great location. Just 2 tram stops from Oslo train station. But the rooms and especially the bathrooms were not in very nice condition. But I guess, you get what you paid for. To Norway standards, it is very cheap.

Well situated, 15 minute easy walk from the central station. Room clean, bed OK, wc/shower and usually a little kitchen in the room even for the cheapest rooms. Not noisy. Staff nice, speaks English well. Wifi OK, sometimes slow, because so many people are using it for the same time. Have to bring your own bedsheets or you have to... More
