What a lovely place. Totally unexpected. Style meets Nordic charm. Has all the standard 4 to 5 star amenities with a genuinely charming staff Breakfast and dinner first rate Hotel is a bit out of town, but ok for us as we had a car Rooms vary enormously depending on where it is in the hotel and year built. We booked a reservation to stay the night at Lysebu hotel, partly due to the high regards for their restaurant; after all, we are arriving on a Sunday, and many restaurants seem to be closed on Sundays (the nice restaurant at Holmenkollen Park Hotel Rica is closed, for example, which was a big reason we looked elsewhere.) Although the prix... More

Being for the first time in Norway, me and my wife did not know what we were going to find. This wonderful Hotel gave the chance of enjoying all we had dreamed of. Peaceful views, healthy food of high class quality and staff very polite and efficient. Although it is not located right in the center, only the surroundings and... More

The hotel is located in the mountain area in Oslo. Around 45 minutes total travel time from the city center or the University (Blindern). Around 12 minutes walk (up hill, can be difficult with heavy luggage) from the T-Bane station to the hotel. Huge room with double beds (even if you are traveling solo), with sofas, and table. Very small... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and we couldn't choose better. The room was very nice, felt like home. The bed is super comfortable, I slept better than in my own bed at home. The breakfast is beyond amazing, organic food and beautiful view. Staff is very helpful, we got a late check out without to pay any... More

There is an attitude at this hotel which we could not help but notice. They expect to excel at everything, and at every point they went one step further than we could have hoped. they did everything to make the stay unforgettable. The meal in the evening was one of the best we have ever had anywhere in the world,... More

Located in the "mountains" surrounding Oslo and only twenty minutes away, this is a place to see the real nature of south eastern Norway without having to leave Oslo. Very good food and an excellent wine list at the restaurant, modern rooms with the views as if you stayed in a private Norwegian cabin. Twenty minutes or so from downtown... More

A beautiful hotel and location on the mountain behind Oslo. Not easy to reach without ones own car and taxis are very expensive as most things are here in Norway. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely pool with views over mountains and forest. Excellent restaurant and menu largely organic and local but heavily meat and fish based.

What a wonderful place! The scenery is lovely with an amazing view. Old, yet modern, sleek yet quaint and very original. We stayed in the newly decorated annex and this is definitely a hotel room I'll remember. The design was unique yet very functional with lots of nice details. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the valley. The bed... More

Stayed for a night just to get out of the city. The hotel is beatifully situated in the forrest just north of Oslo (30-40 min by train, 20 min by car). They have a very good kitchen and an excellent vine cellar (I recommend selecting one of their daily menus with corresponding vine package, you won't regret it). The hotel... More
