If you have come into money, or are visiting Norway on an oil contract, this hotel is a must. Contemporary needs have changed (like a fifty square metre room that this hotel can't deliver), but 'class' is eternal. The from the art nouveau lampstands, to the sumptuous breakfasts, this is a locale not to be missed. But you need the... More

I stayed here on business for one night but wished I could have stayed longer. I had a wonderful time from the moment i checked in to the morning after when I left. The building is simply stunning, it oozes class, I chose the hotel as it seemed like quite a traditional hotel with alot of history and the building... More

Beautiful hotel with classic European decorations. Nice carpets and old furniture all over with large mirrors. Not the cheapest but it's definitely worth the price. A bit crowded for lunch in lobby but the service was still great. The hotel is a bit of a maze in the upper floors because of the budding they attached at the back. Only... More

I stayed here on business over four nights. The location is terrific, only a short walk from the main train station and right in the heart of downtown oslo close to all major tourist attractions (especially the royal palace). The hotel has terrific old world opulence, beautifully decorated, the staff are very friendly, and the restaurant and conference rooms are... More

Great hotel, central in Oslo. Very ornate and traditionally decadent surroundings. Superb ambience made even better in the cafe/bar with a pianist playing during the day. The food is divine and the hotel is famed for its wonderful hot chocolate! Free wifi makes business easy as do comfortable and quiet bedrooms. I would definitely recommend for business, solo or social... More

We stayed here for several nights at the beginning and end of our Norway group tour. From the beginning as we were showed to our room at 0800 hours ( with no early check in pre arranged) after a long overnight flight we were impressed. Breakfast was included in our deal and was fabulous with a great coffee machine and... More

When you enter Hotel Bristol you suddenly find yourself in the 1920ies. The elegance, the bar/cafe with the pianoman playing, the carpet, the ceiling, the furnitures, the candeliers. Its all wonderfull. And the cakes at the counter is just the best. If you are known to norwegian celebreties it is not unusual to meet one or two in the lobby.... More

Close to everything in central Oslo. Excellent breakfast. And the Bibloteksbaren (the library-bar) next to the reception gives the lobby and the hotel a true living feeling, nowadays so rare in hotels. I love this hotel. If you like the Algonquin in NYK you will enjoy the Bristol.
