When you enter Hotel Bristol you suddenly find yourself in the 1920ies. The elegance, the bar/cafe with the pianoman playing, the carpet, the ceiling, the furnitures, the candeliers. Its all wonderfull. And the cakes at the counter is just the best. If you are known to norwegian celebreties it is not unusual to meet one or two in the lobby.... More

Close to everything in central Oslo. Excellent breakfast. And the Bibloteksbaren (the library-bar) next to the reception gives the lobby and the hotel a true living feeling, nowadays so rare in hotels. I love this hotel. If you like the Algonquin in NYK you will enjoy the Bristol.

The public areas of the Hotel Bristol evoke the grandeur of a bye gone era. Rich wood panelling and lots of ornate brass and leather sofas adorn the lobby, bars and eating areas. This is the best part of this old hotel. Our room was quite small and plain. The four inch step up into the bathroom was both annoying... More

The location is really ideal -- it's on a main street -- basically equidistant between the train station and the royal palace. It was very easy to get around from there. It's a quite large, busy hotel. I had a room overlooking the street -- it does get a little noisy, but nothing that prevented me from sleeping (especially after... More

Near the main shopping street Karl Johans Gate and the Royal Palace. Clean spacious rooms. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is OK: Go for the salmon :-) . Tasty open sandwiches and a wide range of coffees and teas in the coffee shop. The restaurant is great but not cheap at all. I do like the atmosphere and... More

I have stayed at the Bristol Hotel several times over the years. It is a traditional kind of old-fashioned hotel in the centre of the city, just one block away from the main street Karl Johansgate. 5 minutes walk from the Nationaltheatret rail- and subway station. It has a great charm, and it has the Librarybar, which is linked to... More

We stayed 4 nights in Hotel Bristol in early July and had a fantastic stay. Room was quiet and breakfast buffet was wonderful. Very well located to everything and a street or two off the hustle bustle of pedestrian corridor. Employees were pleasant and helpful. Easy walk to harbor area. Bus to airport about 50 yards down the street. Fast... More

We stayed there with my wife ? 4 nights in May 2014 , for our honeymoon trip. The room was not very spacious but it was very elegant with antique furniture. The breakfast was amazing , staff was very helpful and polite and it's location is central. Amazing choice value for money for Norwegian data. Would strongly recommend it.

We recently took a 16-day family trip to Norway, and in the whole country, my favorite accomodation was the Hotel Bristol. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of many Oslo attractions; Akker Brigge (the wharf), the City Hall, Karl Johans Gate (the pedestrian shopping district) the palace, and Oslo Central Station. The rooms are spacious; they were able... More

And very easy to reach. Take the fast train from the Oslo airport to the National Theater station and walk a little less than 10 minutes to get to this historic building. The rooms are quite comfortable for two people though the bathrooms are quite small. Sunday breakfast was extraordinary with a wide variety of traditional foods, fresh baked breads,... More
