Typical Scandic chain hotel. Check-in was great and very quick. Breakfast was as always very plentiful and of good quality. Room was clean and bed comfy but may need a refurbishment soon as starting to look dated. Good value for money in Oslo. more

Whenever getting back to Oslo I stay in this hotel - extremely convenient because it is "inside" the train station, has nice (altough small) rooms, very nice personnel and an interesting breakfast (altough taken in the oposite EGON caffe...). more

Stayed in this hotel 2 nights on a business travel to Norway. I chose it mainly because of the location ("inside" the Oslo Central Station), and I don't regret it - for those who come by air, just take the train at the airport and in 25 min you are inside your room... After an orrible experience at Scandic Edderkoppen hotel, we moved here in Scandic Byporten. The single room was in reality a double one, with a big and confortable bed. Clean and spacious, it has a big desk and space for all your dresses in the closet. Bathroom was ok, heated floor, and the overall temperature of the room was perfect.... more
