Well located, looking ok from outside... Rooms have a little salon, like a small suite... But, once in the room it's dusty, carpets are very, very old; it smells even older, makes me itch just to write the post. 200€ a night....I'd pay 1/3 the price anytime, anywhere else. Oslo is expansive, indeed. Breakfast is ok. more

This hotel is very well located and, at their summer family value rates, is very good value as well. We are a family of 4 with two teenaged sons. We stayed two nights during a heat wave and the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, but I think this is probably the case at most of the hotels in Oslo. We... more

We were a group of 25 Americans staying at this hotel for 3 nights in September. The location was great - within walking distance of downtown, the marina, Vigeland Park. We especially liked having Slottsparken right across the street with lots of walking trails. The hotel wasn't too difficult to drive in and out of and the hotel has some... more

There are a couple of plus points about the hotel: central location, kitchen facilities, and friendly staff. However, the hotel requires major modernisation. Everything from the bathrooms to the curtains are old and grubby. I stayed in a suite, which was very spacious, but very out-dated. The lobby area seems more like a train station waiting room. I had no... more

The only great thing about this hotel i s the location. Otherwise what you get is not worth the price. The bathroom was old and it took forever to get hot water in the shower. Also the drain did not work sufficiently so whenever I took a shower I was up to my ancles in dirty water. The double bed... more

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel in August 2007. The hotel is very basic, but rooms are clean. Breakfast was very nice. The rooms also have small kitchenettes (ours was in a small separtate room, and I liked that). OK to be able to make your own meals if you want to. Our room also had... more

We stayed in this hotel on New Year's Eve and were not overly impressed. We chose the hotel as we had difficulty finding accommodation on New Year's Eve as a lot of the hotels were closed for the holidays. For the price we paid, we expected a bit more. First of all, we booked a double room but really it... more

We stayed there for 6 nights and booked hotel over the web. Great Hotel that was centrally located. Clean room and comfortable bed. Great kitchette with a nice little refrig. Great breakfast with a lot of variety. Within walking distance of the main shopping street and restaurants and close to the subway. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again if... more

We booked this hotel over the visit oslo website and got a reasonable deal for 40GBP per night per personwith an oslo pass. It was fairly basic little room to swing a cat in either the bedroom or the bathroom as has been noted by other tripadvisors. It was clean and tidy and centrally located to the royal palace and... more

This hotel was definitely not worth the 4 stars, it should not have more than 3. We booked a double room, but got a very small room with a large single bed for the 2 of us. And it probably was just a single room since there was only 1 pilow and one set of towels. Of course we complained... more
