Stayed at the Thon Spektrum in December 2007, selected for price and location. Was VERY close to oslo central Station 5-10 minutes. Five minutes to the Oslo Spektrum. Our room overlooked the street and there was noise from a nearby pub until about 1AM - nothing too bad though. I had to go to the dining room to access (paid)... more

Although it is located near the center, the street is full of dubious people and we were afraid even to take the photo camera with us in the evening... Our room was a NIGHTMARE... Curtains were hanging, the windows were in very pour condition, the sealing was damaged. Our room faced the street and it was noise until 4 AM.... more

Had serious problems with dirty blankets. Aircon wasn`t working properly and smell like burning. On the other hand this hotel is pretty central to Central train station and staff was very helpful. Rate was good to be a hotel in Oslo. more

LOCATION: Not the best, although just 15-25 minutes by foot from the main attractions. Near the train station, which attracts a lot of riff-raff. ROOM: Average size. Bathroom was too small. The hotel has a very good location, some minutes walk from the main train/busstation. About 15 minutes walk to Karl Johan street. When we checked in they told us it was the last room they had... when we came into the room, the lamps did not work... and then they did have another room disponible for us after our complains.... more

We've stayed in other Thon budget hotels and were very satisfied so expected a better hotel. The room was clean and about what we expected but very noisy.
