Hello, Me and my boyfriend stayed in the hotel for all weekend. All i could say that it was very nice and clean. Room was big enough ( and we paid only £100 a night). The atmostphere was very warm and welcoming. And the breakfast was supper supper good. After all, i would strongly recomend this hotel! We did not... more

We stayed for two nights in a week-end, and got a fairly large double room with extra beds facing the quiet back-yard. The staff was very service-minded and smiling. We had also booked a room for my parents-in-law who needed a room for disabled. There had obviously been a mistake in the registration, because they got a rather small and... more

I don't have high expectations of hotels in Oslo, but this was a grim night. At about midnight I was woken by thumping music from a night-club across the road. I phoned reception " oh they aren't allowed to play after 11pm, but I'm not prepared to do anything about it apart from offering you earplugs". It was so loud... more

Spent 2 nights here and I found it ok apart from one problem. If you have a room overlooking the main street there is loud music every night until late so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room change. Other than that the hotel was well located, rooms were compact but comfortable and clean, staff friendly and... more

I stayed here on a business trip because it was the only hotel in Oslo with available smoking rooms for my coworker. I was surprised at how small and dingy the hotel was for the price, but chalked it up to Oslo's expensiveness and the dismal dollar exchange rate. Of the five nights we stayed, there was loud, loud, loud... more

The Thon Stefan is a nice, nearly budget choice in central Oslo. Rooms are small by American standards, but pleasant, the bathroom is fine (and water pressure is awesome), there is an electric kettle and stuff for fixing hot beverages in the room. I found the beds comfy (others did not). I stayed there in January, so the problems that... more

Nothing in Oslo is inexpensive, but this was the smallest hotel room that I have stayed in this year during the course of all my business travel (even smaller than central London, if such a thing is possible). At $200 a night it seems that one could do better, but in this case the draw is that this hotel is... more

I've stayed at this hotel twice so far, so I'm going to review both visits. first time was june 2006. I was alone and travelled to Oslo for the first time. Had booked a singleroom via expedia. being used to crappy hotels in London I expected the worst. But I was very pleasantly surprised! the lobby looked as nice as... more

We stayed here 2 nights, Sat/Sun in late June. We booked/prepaid at the tourist info by the central train station. About a 10/15 min walk, mostly along a pedestrian street. Front desk personnel were nice enough, no more. Our room on the 7th floor overlooked the square and the court building - just in time to see a wedding party... more
