This Oslo hotel, in central Oslo on Rosekrantz gate, is a good option. I enjoyed a comfortable bed, after a long day of travel, and the staff was very helpful. Delicious and very large Norwegian buffet breakfast served, with excellent breads, jams, smoked salmon, etc. Location is excellent for walking to most all of the main sites within Oslo.

Not as bad as people seem to be saying, we had a suite on the top floor which was spacious. We had our two children with us so the addition of 2 beds in this particular room was fine and still gave us plenty to move around in. Sure the hotel is looking a little tired, but I understand they... More

This place is bad compared to other Oslo city center Thon hotels that I have stayed. It is central and the breakfast up to their standards but otherwise it falls way short. - Elevator keycard readers generally needed 5 attempts to work. - Greeted on the fifth floor by mottled, stained carpets and missing service covers on walls. - No... I recently spent 4 nites at this hotel, located in Oslo's city centre, whilst on a business trip. The location was excellent - close to tram and T-Bane stops and in walking distance to any number of restaurants. My client had booked a larger room, with double bed, but when I arrived the desk clerk seemed to know nothing about... More

I was staying in Stefan Hotel two times for a business trip together with my collegue Vladimir Suhov who left his feedback below. The first time there last year was a heating problem and nobody reacted on that. It seemed that all personal there had a reset button and next day nobody knew what was promised the day before. The... First time we went here last autumn there was no heating and the receptionists kept telling us - for two weeks straight - that this would be fixed "next day", which never happened. But now when we needed to go again we still decided to give it another chance, 'cause it would be hard to imagine there would be no... More

I've stayed at the hotel 2 times. This time, for 2 nights. First time was a better experience. This time I got a room that faced the street, and it was much noice from the outside. I asked the receptionist if I could change room, and for the second night I got a room away from the street. Much better,... More

Small rooms, you hear your neighbour using the loo. Not my favourite noise. No heating in bathroom floor, but the shower is hot. Earplugs are handed out, but it's not very comfortable sleeping with them. The most friendly staff was the cleaninglady, happiest person I'v ever met (more or less) I won't stay here again.
