This hotel is at the intersection of two street car lines so access to Oslo's excellent transport is good. It was converted from a religious order some years ago and is a bit dated. The Rica Holberg must be a decent hotel; the first view you have of it is positive. In a city that has largely mangled its streetscape, the Holberg has a nice, classical, flowered front. The public spaces are also nice, and the invariably blond, very young, inexperienced (students in training?) front desk staff are keen, although unable, to help. But... more

In an expensive city like Oslo, it was great to find a decent priced hotel like the Rica Holberg Hotel. We've actually never gone wrong with Rica – in Malmö, Stockholm and now Oslo. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood that's quite close to the central area, palace and Frogner.
