Stayed for a night...room is clean and furniture are new. But no wardrobe in the room (is this the norm in Oslo?) Location very near to The Opera....also near to The Mini Bottle Museum, The Museum of Modern Art - and right in front of The Museum of Modern Art is Oslo's oldest restaurant, Engebert - food here is superb! I had their fish soup which was absolutely fantastic! Ok, back to the hotel, the location of the hotel is not too bad, despite being in a neighbourhood where the "working girls' are....stay comes with breakfast and the spread is pretty alright. Staff are friendly...they also allowed luggage storage after check out...the downside is that the hotel does not have any brochures on Oslo for travellers, they only have a map which is not even in English. Walking distance to Karl Johanns but I would not say it is very near...if you are looking for a place which is nearer to Karl Johanns and Aker Brygee, then Coch Pensjonat is a good stay for those looking for a budget... more
