Professional and dry check in. It was the worst room I stayed in a long time and I travel a lot. No air conditioning, only two coat hangers, small bathroom with strange steps as you turn in, old uncomfortable beds and during the night, no air to breathe! Opens one window then you are at the construction site. Right now... More

The hotel was located very close to the city center. It has old-time charm and could use some renovation, but we liked our room in the old part of the hotel. High ceilings, big windows and comfortable bed. Bathroom was a bit shabby, but clean. The only complaint is that it took some time to adjust the water temperature in... More

We stayed for only a night. There's construction going on at the hotel, so it could get a little dusty when you open your windows to let air in since there is no air-conditioning. But the room was better than expected. There was an ice cream and coffee machine in the lobby for guests. Breakfast spread was pretty good.

Stayed just the one night.Staff were friendly Rooms in the new extensions go for. Free WiFi. Breakfast good. Close to Gagata Shopping Centre Seems this hotel does not cater for tour buses. Great Tried other hotel but all seem to be catering for bus tours On to Trondheim.

Went there in 1962 when I was 22, my first day in Norway, a summer student going to work at Rana Gruber which was an iron ore mine that was being developed then. The hotel was an old, quaint wooden building, the dining room was quite sophisticated but the menu was only in Norwegian. After some time with a dictionary... More

we only stayed for one night half of May. after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor we did not expect too much. But it was a pleasant surprise. We had a room at the newer building and it looked renovated. Modern room with purple and black. Good beds Too bad they did not renovate the bathroom so it was a bit... More

The hotel is really old and the ventilation needs to be upgraded. It was steaming hot in the hotelroom and the diningroom (wedding). The breakfast was good, but they did not serve egg and bacon :( it was a little sad to see the inside of the hotel, it looks like the interiors from the 80`s and some of the... More

First of all, the hotel is very dark and depressing from the outside. Then our reservation for a double room was changed to a superior room costing 2000 nok without telling us. Not even on checkin. Then the room was large and modern decorated, but sadly in very bad taste, with lilac walls, pink frilly pillows on the couch and... More

The new part of the hotel looks kind of funny, but inside is nice, maybe in general it needs to be renovated but everything works, this is an area of Norway where tourism as most people mean it isn't there. Food was ok, and service not impeccable, but I am sure they will improve this aspect. Would go again.

The hotel exudes class as you enter the reception area. Its public areas are well appointed and have character furniture. Most rooms are in the new wing, which from the outside looks like a rather soulless piece of architecture probably from the 80’s. But that doesn’t matter when you’re inside. Our room was functional as well as comfortable. Best feature:... More
