What a special place this is, our memories of our stay here will stay with us forever. It's not 5 star hotels that make fabulous holidays, it's the memories that you create and the people that you meet. When we disembarked from the Hurtigruten at Berlevag a crew member asked us what on earth we were getting off here for... More

We had the most wonderful time in the guesthouse. A perfect hostess greeted us and fed us the most excellent and plentiful food. The rooms were spotlessly clean and warm and nothing was too much trouble to organise for us. The snow shoe expedition was also a most amazing experience.

It doesn't get any better. This place is proudly restored to what is the best accomodation I have experienced in Northern Norway, and I've been there a lot. If home cooking with professional finesse, local ingredients and tradition is what you appreciate, if carefully restorated rooms with comfortable beds is where you want to sleep, this is your place. If... More

Opening the door to my beautifully refurbished room with original local art on the walls was the start of three excellent and unforgettable days. Feasting on king crab after a full day at sea, watching seabirds, seals, reindeer and the Arctic coastline... I will be back in winter!

We spent 2 nights here after a very warm welcome as the only guests. The accommodation is superb especially the heated bathroom floor! food excellent and the location wonderful, particularly if you are a photographer. We would recommend taking a good supply of books for the evenings in the winter. We were kindly lent snow suits & shoes so we... More

we stayed here for 2days/1 night in the depths of winter. we were the only guests and the hosts went out of their way to ensure that we didn't get bored, arranging snowshoeing and a drive up a local mountain for us. The food was amazing, all prepared on site to order by ase, and featured lots of locally caught... More

This place is fantastic. Its a tiny clutch of brightly colored refurbished houses that used to be a fishing village. Its really out there in the middle of nowhere, but totally worth the drive. The restaurant (which in the winter opens only when you call and ask) serves all kinds of unusual and local fishes and other dishes. We went... More
