Hotel Vienna is a renovated family place from 1950s. Its highlight is friendly, professional, helpful and amusing staff at the reception. It's a good value for money, since a night for 2 can cost as little as 70 Euros. Rooms are of average size, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are ok, however the glass bathroom doors are peculiar, especially if you... More

We stayed here with our 3 year old son and it was lovely. The rooms are very clean, big enough and very nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The only problem is that it is not in the old town but if the weather is nice you can walk. We will return.

Housed in an old building however the rooms have been renovated and the bathrooms in particular are very modern. Rooms was very comfortable however poor noise insulation to the corridor. I booked the hotel mainly due to the promise of hotel parking but on checkin was told none was available. About 7-10 minutes walk to the nearest metro station, and... More

It was very good hotel. Near to metro and train stations. It was 500 meters from Praterstern U-bahn station. Hotel was very comfortable, breakfast was very well organised. The only two things that was not so good, is that wi-fi signal strength in some places was low, and one night was very noisy from neighbors room. Couples was working all... More

Quite nice hotel near the metro station "Praterstern" and the amusement park (about 5 minutes walk). Hotel is designed with very nice old pictures! Rooms are quite small, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is normal. Quite pleasant staff.

We spent 10 days at the hotel and found the staff very efficient, helpful and engaging. The room was spotless and adequately appointed. Breakfast was unimaginative but well done nonetheless. Internet access was a little sketchy at first but was soon rectified. The lift was also out if action a couple of days but it didn't matter - we were... More

We booked this hotel sight unseen before we left Prague. Had a little trouble locating as we didn't know our way around Vienna. The underground rail system was excellent but it was when we got off the train and started walking we got a bit lost. Rang the hotel for directions and a wonderful staff member not only knew where... Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
