I booked this hotel on Orbitz for a reasonable price, and was quite excited. It is technically a "4 star hotel" so I was expecting much more than I received at the end. All in all, the hotel is clean, rooms are decent, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. However, I had some problems with my first room which I... More

A friend from Vienna recommended this hotel and it was an excellent tip. As others have mentioned, it's in a cul de sac so there is no traffic in front or behind. It is clean, modern and well-situated, not right downtown, but close enough by streetcar. I had a single room, which I assumed would be tiny, but it was... More

Quiet cul de sac, easy walk to transportation, lovely breakfast included with your room every morning. Friendly staff. Very pleased with our room on the 7 th floor. Clean on arrival and the room was attended to daily and promptly. Mini bar in our room was convenient! The staff was very attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay here... More

Location was ok, three stops by tram to City Hall, calm area. Hotel looks modern, rooms are modern, nice and quite clean. Bathroom is very nice I would say. Breakfast was delicious! Staff helped me when I had problem with room, so they changed on 11PM, however, I would expect more information during check-in, that was less than good. To... More

31 Dec 2011: The staff were friendly and helpful but not very knowledgeable about the local area which was disappointing. The breakfast was very good, parking was easy (may be seasonal),and the room was spacious. Close to public transport links. The wifi was extremely slow to the point of frustration. Rooms need refurbishment, looking very tired. This is not a... More

Stayed for two nights and were impressed by this nice hotel. It is in a good area with very quiet surroundings which makes for a good nights rest. The bedroom on the 6th floor was spacious and well furnished and clean.the only problem was the Air Con.which was less than effective although this did not bother us to much. The self service breakfast... Located in a residential park district, this hotel is built besides a petit Palais (now a conference facility) and has a nice garden. Yet walking distance to tram is 5 minutes, and it takes 7 stops of pleasant ride and view to be at downtown Vienna (Opera House). Large and comfortable rooms and baths with all amenities. We specially enjoyed... More

In a quiet cul de sac out of city centre of the city yet close to trams/buses/underground to reach most places. Our room (standard) was a reasonable size and bright. Large bathroom with bathtub as well as shower and lots of toiletries. Breakfast spread was unbelievably huge and varied and offered everything for all tastes. - Staff were friendly, helpful... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
