The location!!! We really loved the place. Everything is within walking distance. The room was perfectly clean and spacy enough. We have arrived by car, and there is a great private garage beneath the building. It is not free but is safe and easy to reach.

Didn't much care about the hotel, the lobby is on the top floor, there's some stairs to get to the elevator so if you have a big luggage its terrible. Staff wasn't that helpful. Room were ok though. The location is not bad, its near few restaurants and shopping stores.

I have stayed at the Bella Vienna Hotel before and liked it, so decided to try it again. Their website is operational, alas, their online reservation system no longer works. Tried to ring them and got a recorded message that the number is not in service. Got back to Vienna yesterday and decided to visit this hotel to find out... More

large rooms, very comfortable beds and clean. quiet area but very close to subway stations and important Vienna landmarks. the only thing is that the hotel occupies the last three floors of what seems to be an office building. so for those (like us) who will be arriving after dark and their taxi driver hasn't heard of the hotel before... I don't know how they summed up their stars to count as 4. But am sure the one who made the Maths made a big mistake. It's a 2 stars hotel.. Maximum 3. Rooms lack any kind of charm or spirit.. Very basic.. Spacious though.. Basic beds.. Basic everything.. Empty fridge.. And even it doesn't work. The hotel need more... More

Stayed at the Bella Vienna City Hotel from 26th September - 29th September after being unable to get into a nearby hostel, decided to splurge a little and stay at Bella Vienna (we ever only stay in hostels). What a disappointment. When we arrived the receptionist hardly muttered a word, she couldn't provide us with any information about breakfast and... More

Quite unusual hotel, since you have to climb to the 6. floor of the building to reach the reception. Behind the reception, there is a small restaurant for serving breakfest and a nice terrace , where you can enjoy nice /however not exeptional/ view of Vienna. The rooms occupy three flloors below the reception /3.,4,5./. We stayed in this hotel... More

Awful place. First of all, room was very dirty (not vacuumed and had a lot of hair on the beds) , it had no air-conditions ( 4 star hotel!),but had 2 fans which were covered with a thick layer of dust. Very noisy and hot! Breakfast was very poor, stuff is untidy and unfriendly. What also surprised me, in "4-star hotel"... More

The hotel is on different floors of what appears to be an office building. The entrance is shabby so first impressions are not good. If you enjoy dark 1970s decor, then this is the hotel for you! Room (205) is at the rear of the building and was very quiet. My friend's room gave directly onto the main staircase for... More

I am a regular guest at this hotel that I always liked very much. It is well located, it has very nicely designed, spatious rooms, roomy bathrooms, it is generally well kept and clean, free internet, and typically nice service. The breakfast room is a gem - especially on nicer days when you can sit outside on the roof -... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
