Excellent accommodations, good beds. Charming hostess and tour guide. Wonderful breakfast/brunch. Helpful guide for anything you need. A beautiful park in front of the place with swings and playground for kids. A wonderful health club just around the corner. Loved our stay and our hostess, we will return!

The bed and breakfast is run almost single-handedly by Edith Molnar. She is the host and is extremely insightful on all things Viennese. She also conducts tours around some of the less seen parts of Vienna, an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. We were given one suite (for four of us) which though not as comfortable as we hoped is filled... More

We appreciate all comments and reviews, it always provides a feedback that we can learn from and reflects on the guest and their needs. It is obvious that our B and B is not for all travelers, there are some who prefer hotels and / or apartment hotels. We are neither! Our place is truly a bed and breakfast, with... More

My family of 7 (5 kids and 2 adults) recently spent several nights with Ms. Edith. She was able to accommodate our large group comfortably. The location of her apartment is ideal within the ring and close to public transportation. My smaller children loved the park next door (highlight of the trip for them was the zip line in the... My son and I stayed in the Buddha Suite last Spring for 2 weeks at this charming B&B in the heart of Vienna while we attended a university robotics conference. We highly recommend this very unique and charming home. We had a wonderful visit with the gracious host, Ms. Edith. This is truly a Bed & Breakfast where you are... More

Ms. Edith seems determined to please, but we felt like that determination was too much for us -- i nearly knocked her over, coming out of a tram, as she tried to grab my bag from me. What was intended as helpfulness only seemed overbearing to us. i felt that our family of four adults would have plenty of room... More

This is a very unusual accommodation. A huge apartment is subdivided into a number of smaller apartments (suites) by inserting kitchenettes, bathrooms, etc. You have everything you need, but only a thin set of doors separates you from a hallway or breakfast room. Some heavy draperies are added to improve soundproofing, but they work only tentatively. For instance, a family... More

We stayed in the Buddha Suite which is a little like sleeping in my grandmother's living room. There are hundreds of knick knacks, brochures and books in the main room. The other couple traveling with us slept upstairs in the loft. Even though we are very good friends the lack of privacy was a challenge. The suite would be just... More

We stayed here with three couples and our 24 year old daughter. There is lots of room and the beds are comfy. The large sitting room/bedroom was a perfect place to debrief at night, have one more glass of wine and unwind from a day of sightseeing. Edith was more than helpful picking us up at the train station, showing... More

Edith's Place is very centrally located and we walked everywhere (except Shonbrunn Palace which is a little out of town, but easy to get to on the subway). You are staying in Edith's home, so there is little privacy, but Edith is very friendly and the accomodation is good value for money.

We had so much fun staying with Ms. Edith! She made our first trip to Vienna very special, informative and memorable. She took such good care of us and showed us parts of old Vienna that we would have never seen without her. We found the accomodations comfortable, charming and unique. Much more fun than staying in a traditional hotel.... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
