Pension Ani is an essential hotel near the center of Wien. It has a good position and allows the guests to reach the center in few minutes but this is its only strength. The rooms are very small and provide the strictly necessary for the stay (no shampoo in the room, we were given only a pair of soaps). Also... More

We spent a perfect weekend here. The Room was clean and good size for as. The breakfast was delicious and a good dose. The Information of a City Travel was perfect. Thanks for us, We'll be back if we travel to Wien!

No internet inside all the rooms as it was said on the website, no 24h reception or emergency contact from the hotel. Poor service, not close to the city centre. There is better in Vienna for the price.

I really enjoyed my stay at Pension Ani. The B&B was very clean and comfortable and in easy walking distance of the city centre. It's also very close to the U-bahn and there's a tram stop right outside. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I had an en-suite room with a lovely big window and views of the buildings opposite.... More

Hotel was nice and served a nice breakfast in the morning. The room (although small) was comfy and provided everything you could need for a budget short-stay in Vienna. Helpful and polite staff at all times...

Good location, tram 43 station in front of the hotel. 4-5 station to mhte centre sand very good conections with other trams or U. Anyway the transport in Vienna is very well organised. Located at the 4th floor , the pension was pretty good for us as we had comfortable bads, a small&clean bathroom. The only disadvantage was the dimension... More

Hi, I Am Dr. Anil B. Jalan from India. Over last 7 years I must have stayed at this Pension atleast 7 - 8 times ( almost once every year ) and sometimes twice in a year. I found the room rate very economical with good breakfast and very freindly staff. Its location was the main attraction me as it... More

The pension was clean and quiet but the rooms are very small and you have to do pirouettes in order to go to toilet or from the one side of the room to the other (2 steps) The pension is near to metro station (200m) and outside the door is the stop of the tram to Academia and University. It is... Good location and decent features but the room was *very* small. Literally the bed took up almost half the space, apart from the narrow foyer and bathroom. No Internet access, either wireless or "business center"-wise. The knob on the shower heighth adjustment was broken, so it was stuck at the lowest level; is a problem for anyone who likes to... Staying in Josefstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
