I found this hotel to be at the very least adequate in all areas. 2 friends and I were spending one night in Vienna to take in the Euro Cup 2008. We wanted a room large enough to accommodate the three of us, have a private bathroom, and not pay too much for it. The hotel is located out of... more

This hotel is awful. It took 30 minutes to find our room and it turned out that we were in the run down apartment block next door!!! Decor was terrible, it felt like we were in the 1930's - and not in a good way, finding it difficult to find the appropriate words to describe the room. To call it... more

The pluses: Kaiserpark Schönbrunn has the friendliest staff I have ever met. They really make an effort to know and to serve their guests. The breakfat is good. The location is good: Subway station is close by and of course the Schönbrunn palace is only a short walk away. It is an old building and therefore the rooms are very... more

An older hotel, but still clean, neat and tidy. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and the staff were friendly - so all the big things covered. The included breakfast was fantastic. Cheaper than hotels in the ring, but only 9mins by U-bahn from the centre of town (100m walk, runs til midnight every 4mins peak/8 mins off-peak, free with... more

We were booked into this hotel by the Vienna Tourist Board the morning of our arrival as they had stuffed up our booking with another 4 star hotel. We took one look at our "double" room under the stairs (two skinny twin beds at opposite ends of the room, holes in the bedlinen, broken chair and ugly 1970s laminate fixtures),... more

We stayed at the Kaiserpark late September 2006. The hotel had an old fashioned feel to it, but was generally clean. Our bathroom could have done with a good scrub though, and the red bed linen was a bit off putting! Our room was at the back of the hotel so was generally quiet, but I wouldn't have liked to... more

First of all, the hotel is located well near the station. It is just around 5 mins walk from the station and near to the must-go attraction of Schönbrunn Palace. We lived at the room 117 which is quite strangely located. The room is not on the same level of 1st floor which the lift can reach. Instead we had to... more

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel clerk, Ehrhardt, who speaks nine languages was extremely helpful with maps, local places to eat, etc. The rooms are clean, large by European standards, nice full bath, beds very comfortable. The contenental breakfast was wonderful every morning. The location is excellent right across the street from Schoenbrunn... more
