Apartment is very well situated close to good underground railway system that works well for all destinations and the hot spot Stephansdom and shopping Kärntnerstrasse is in 5-7 min walking distance. Apartment is very spacious (we had nr 29 under the roof top, 2 bedroom and 1 very large living room, huge bathroom), newly furnished, but with limited kitchen equipment... More

These apartments are centrally located in Vienna and while we could cope with the dark dinghy foyer leading to the lifts the stench of cigarette smoke (despite having requested a non smoking room ) was unbearable for a non smoker like myself. (Apartment 23) We spoke to Susann the following day but apart from saying she was not able to... More

We had the unpleasant experience of finding out the apartment we booked was taken and they gave us a two bedroom suite in the hotel. There was a kitchen sink and dishes but no hot plate. The staff located a hot plate for us and were willing to move us once an apartment became available. We were unpacked a day... More

I had a great stay at Carlton Suites. The place was clean and very convenient. There were towels, soap and body wash/shampoo available for use. There was also a washing machine but no detergent for the machine. I bought some from the local market that's two doors down, but it was a large bag for the two small loads I... More

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at the Carlton Suites and found it to be clean, comfortable and spacious, the kitchen equipment was rather sparse but if, like us, you mainly eat out and just want somewhere to prepare breakfast/snacks etc then it is fine, my only real complaint is that there were no tea-towels. The location... More

Apartment is very well situated close to good underground railway system that works well for all destinations. Apartment is large but quite sparsely furnished with limited kitchen equipment eg no wine glasses or kettle. There was a very bad smell from the shower drain and the apartment could do with some maintenance but it suited our purpose ok.

Badly furnished, unhelpful staff. We were told we cannot be giv en extra blankets, or even washing up provisions etc even after renting an apartment for a week. Every other holiday apartment I have ever rented at least had the basics like tea coffee, and someway to light the gas to boil water.

The apartments are well located, near Karlsplatz and Kettenbruckegasse. You can also find bars, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. However.... The entry to the apartments is neither comfortable nor convenient. There are lots of stairs and no elevator. The apartments are big and there are many appliances although they are pretty old. The service provided by the staff was not... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
