We stayed at the Tyrol for four days, the staff especially the reception staff were extremely helpful arranging tickets, suggesting restaurants and arranging an early takeaway breakfast on our departure. Well located. Highly recommended D&B

We spent 2 night there, and we loved it. Room very nice, elegant, staff very helpful very welcoming location excellent, near everything, the hotel is located in the main shopping area of Vienna and near the Leopold museum, 10 mint. walking distance from everywhere. Breakfast room staff and food excellent.

"Being Down Town", Most of major attraction are walking distance. Accommodation and service is excellent. Good shopping opportunities and many restaurants to chose from in the area. Breakfest was excellent and included in our package.

Excellent hotel in one of the best location. Close to all places but yet a quite place. Breakfast is excellent and room was clean and very comfy. In Vienna, this is the place to stay. We love the staff which was very helpful. There is also a parking garage next to the hotel but it cost 20 euro per day.

The staff here were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It is a small hotel but very pretty and immaculately clean. The only negative is I think the breakfast could be a little better, although the Prosecco more than made up for the lack of choice ;) We will definitely be back.

This is a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. I booked the hotel 6 months in advance (4 nights was 660 euros for a double room) and I requested a quiet room on a high floor. I emailed a couple of days before arrival to see if this was okay and they assured me that this was booked and not... More

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. There were glitches caused by the booking service, but after a few conversations all was resolved. I highly recommend the hotel for its location and wonderful staff. The food and cleanliness was just a bonus.

This is a great little hotel located on the main shopping street in Vienna, Mariahilfer Straße. It is every central and walking distance to various attractions near by. It's also only a 2 minute walk from the nearest tube/metro/u bahn station which is Museumsquartier located on the (purple) U2 line. On arrival, we were pleasantly greeted by the receptionist. I... I love this hotel. It is as close to Vienna as you can get without actually living there, sophisticated and bewitching, warm, friendly and beautiful. I recently returned from a European trip and spent a spectacular week in this magical city at the lovely Small Luxury Hotel Das Tyrol. The team members up front at Das Tyrol are all outstanding... Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
