We were four mature adults and we loved staying at this hotel. The staff were wonderful; friendly, gracious, helpful. The breakfast was excellent, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, yogurt and they'll even make eggs to your specifications. In terms of location, attractive rooms, wonderful staff and superb breakfast, this hotel can not be beaten. Walk to most attractions, UBahn is a 3 minute walk, the tram is 4 minutes away and the wonderful Glacis Biesl is a jaunt down the street. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room and bathroom were small, but adequate. The staff at the reception were glued to their chair at all times, but not unfriendly. Close to Ringstrasse, easy walking distance to most points of interest and to two different subway lines. I'm normally at Hilton hotels (Diamond HHonors) but decided to try somewhere different for an Easter break in Vienna (plus it was cheaper than any of the Hiltons!). Das Tyrol was recommended to me by friends who visit Vienna on business.
