Spacious, clean room on one of the main shopping streets. Our room overlooked a pretty square and church. The room was fairly basic but did have a reasonably priced minibar which, due to the proximity to the local supermarkets we didn't need to use. There were however no tea making facilities in our particular room. The hotel is in close... More

This is a very nice family-run hotel, just by the centre of the city. The family that runs the hotel are very nice, welcoming and willing to help. The breakfast they run is modest and nice, probably could have more variety, but was enough for me. The hotel has 20 rooms in a few floor at the building. My room... More

This is a great small hotel with a wonderful location on Mariahilfer Strasse in Vienna. Very conveniently located near a U-bahn #3 stop. You'll receive a warm welcome from the Hungarian family that runs this clean, modern hotel.

NOTE: I may copy and paste these reviews to TripAdvisor/Yelp/Hotels.com A great property - the owner checked us in and was so pleasant! He was really helpful and very nice. The room was a bit small for the three of us, but we made it work. The A/C unit requires that you ask for the remote at the front desk,... More

Start with shuttle. They park the shuttle two hundreds meter from hotel and you need to carry your stuff. Aircondition: it is on the wall but room is like sauna. Technical officer snd manager say it works perfect and after 10 minutes will be cool. Then he said one hour. Then maybe three hours. We decided to leave at 11pm... More

What really stands out from the rest is the hospitality of the staff (or the owners in this case). The other important things for me were also quite good - central location, big room with a comfortable bed, decent breakfast and a good internet connection.

We found the Miklos and Zoltan to be committed to treating as customers for life; with the a "Marriott" attitude. They provided excellent customer service to our family when we became ill. We look forward to staying with them in the future.

This is a family owned hotel and they are wonderful. We arrived with 2 of our family members being sick and they called their wonderful family doctor who came to the hotel to treat us with antibiotics. They are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were even able to do our wash there. Meeting this family was one of our highlights... More

Location-wise it's definitely a good one. It's a small pension house in the middle of one of the main streets. What struck us most is the hospitality of the owner Miklos. We were not decided whether we would be paying in cash or card. We handed him the card and I asked him if he will give us a discount... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
