Hotel is in old stile, and also rooms are not very different, but very good value for money. Our intention was not to stay in hotel, but just to sleep there. Location of the hotel is excellent, right aside to Prater and on the other side similar distance to the city center (inner city). So close to explore the city... More

Hotel was quiet, rooms clean but old... Toilet and shower separated, so toilet was too small for use... Good thing is that they had their own parking and bad thing was breakfast choice. There is no balcony and no smoking is allowed in whole hotel.

its was like having our own flat! very spacious including two bathrooms, cooking facilities, sofa... its more like renting a studio flat than a room, everything looks a bit old that is the only inconvenient, the breakfast is ok, only continental option. wifi works fine.

A nice budget hotel, 2 min. walk to the tram station which brings you to the main attractions, the city center is 10 min. away using the tram. The suites include a large room and a kitchenette equipped with a coffee machine, a refrigerator and a stove, Very useful especially if you travel with small children.. No air condition, but... We stayed in 200, Zum Prater 2 years ago and I must say that they improved some things, like beds. We stayed in family suite with 2 rooms and 2 beds in each. They are now quite comfortable. They also painted the rooms fresh which improved overall impression. What is not improved is that cups and glasses in the cupboard... More

This hotel is a 2 min walk to the tram stop. Which was perfect because it saved us alot of money on transport. It is not close to the city centre, you can walk but it would probably take you 45 mins one way. However, with the tram it is 10-15mins. It is close to the international bus station, 10... More

I've read many bad reviews but I really don't see reasons for them. I had room 14. It is very spacious - like an apartment. The furniture was old and simple but the room was very clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. Location is nice and quite and it is close to public transportation (tram station is less than... More

Positives - I requested for room at ground floor, and thankfully we got a room was at ground floor. The small kitchenette was quite handy as we cooked some meals for us, there were utensils and plates etc given too. The breakfast was good, many options too. Best part was they had hot milk available, so our coffee with milk... More

The Room : We had room 37, 3rd floor which is like a big apartment. You have 1 toilet and 1 bathroom separate and also a small kitchen. The living is very big! I think its the biggest I had when traveling. There is also very good free wifi in the rooms! The food: Breakfast is very nice, you can... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
