I've read many bad reviews but I really don't see reasons for them. I had room 14. It is very spacious - like an apartment. The furniture was old and simple but the room was very clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. Location is nice and quite and it is close to public transportation (tram station is less than... More

Positives - I requested for room at ground floor, and thankfully we got a room was at ground floor. The small kitchenette was quite handy as we cooked some meals for us, there were utensils and plates etc given too. The breakfast was good, many options too. Best part was they had hot milk available, so our coffee with milk... More

The Room : We had room 37, 3rd floor which is like a big apartment. You have 1 toilet and 1 bathroom separate and also a small kitchen. The living is very big! I think its the biggest I had when traveling. There is also very good free wifi in the rooms! The food: Breakfast is very nice, you can... More

There are many reviews saying how terrible the hotel is. This depends how much you paid. As 2 people we had a suite with 2 separate bedrooms and kitchenette. We paid 43 euros per suite per night!! Consequently we found it to be a very good value hotel. If you pay the rack rate, you are going to be horrified!!... More

This Hotel is conveniently located within 2 walking minutes from the Tram Stop - 1 station away from outdoor sports and recreation area of Prater city park and only 10 minutes by tram from the 'Hundertwasser-Haus' and 'Kuenstlerhaus'. Make no mistake - the well known Giant Ferris Wheel 'Riesenrad' is at the other end of the park nearer to the... More

Suite Hotel 200m zum Prater is not too far from the centre of the city. The rooms are big, but not too comfortable - like apartments with small kitchen. Breakfast is quite normal. Sometimes they have big sales of the rooms. Staff quite pleasant.

We were looking for a hotel where you can spend the night 2 nights after returning from the ski. Location - not the best for those who want to be closer to the center. Breakfasts are very scarce - bread, jam, eggs, sausage and cheese. When this sausage was more of soybean than meat. The room was large but poorly... More

The Suite Hotel 200m zum Prater rather qualifies as a hostel. It has few rooms with old furniture. Despite having booked a suite with 2 rooms, each with a double bed, we had 1 double bed and 2 separate single person beds. The bathroom was clean, but no shower gel despite having special tanks for it; it also had a... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
