The Hotel-Pension Dormium is a great place to stay with second-to-none customer service. If you plan to arrive in the evening, simply reach out to the owners prior. Very comfortable and a great value. Parking is down the street; similar to parking in any city. The pension provides access to public transportation outside your door, with a main stop a... More

I would highly recommend this place to any American traveler heading to Vienna for business or pleasure. Gitesh B. did an exceptional job taking great care of us during our 2 evening stay. The room was quite comfortable and the complimentary breakfast exceptional. Spoke with many frequent returners during our breakfasts. They all said that they loved it too. Right... More

When arriving on Sunday evening there was no one at reception but I had received instructions in advance on how to open the doors and get into my room. The room itself was good. Good bed and cushions. Large bathroom with a very small shower though. Even for me although I am small. Very clean. Stocked up minibar for reasonable... More

This was our first visit to Vienna, and were delighted to find this excellent little hotel-pension, so well located for the city centre, via a 10 minute tram ride from the end of the street. The room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the charming staff couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and to... More

A nice little Pension only 5 minutes away from the U-Bahn station, The owner was a good man who let me smoke in my room which was officially no smoking, As a smoker this was greatly appreciated. As a slightly disabled man the only drawback was the small number of stairs needed to access the elevator. Also at night the... More

We booked two rooms at the Dormium for the purpose of being as close to the Stadthalle as we possibly could get because we had tickets to see Andre Rieu, whilst at the same time, naturally not wanting to end up in a dump. The location was perfect, it was literally 5 minutes walk to the theatre. The hotel itself... More

Pension is located in a nice old tradional viennese house (1st floor, fantastic elevator!). The quality is absolutely ok, related to the price. Photographs indicated splendid ambiance - which is not as much the case: Furniture and bathroom were a bit old fashioned, but fully functional, clean and really ok. Well working heating. Breakfast comprised tea, coffee, bread, rolls, yoghurt,... More

We thought this Pension was delightful. We booked through Viennaby.com and were very pleasantly surprised! We were a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 children, we paid 95 euro a night for bed and breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room and bathroom were very spacious and very clean. The children loved that they had their own... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
