We've spent three wonderful days in Vienna. The hotel is nice, clean, friendly. It has an excellent location in the 13th district, close to Schönbrunn palace, and has good public transport connections, downtown just 5 stops with the underground.

It was a good hotel.any way i've stayed only for 2 nights and everything was ok. Room was very clean and wifI worked well. The most important thing is that the hotel is near to a lot of public places.

This hotel is easily accessible by public transport. The number 58 tram comes from the Westbahnhof, and stops almost in front of the hotel. There is also Hietzing U-Bahn station on line U4 6 minutes away, and this line reaches the city centre in around 10 minutes. Schonnbrunn is also 10 minutes walk away. The hotel itself is very nice... Its proximity to Schönbrunn and the U-Bahn make this a great hotel. The room are nice and spacious, if somewhat dated. It would be great if they invested in some better curtains, as the blinds let in a lot of light. The biggest knock against the hotel - and really against most restaurants and hotels in Austria - is that... More

This hotel is middle of the road in facilities but rates six stars for location. It is a couple of minutes walk to the entrance to the Schoenbrunn Schloss Park, same distance to the U4 subway stop and surrounded by wonderful cafes and restaurants like Mario, Plachutta and Dommayer.

In the days leading up to my stay at this hotel, I started having some serious doubts about what to expect. At a price of €49 per room, I have to say that my expectations were low. What an incredible surprise to find such spacious, airy rooms just a short walk from the Schönbrunn Gardens. If you're looking for luxury... More

It is a bit dated, and needs renovation, but is still agood hotel. Close to tram/bus/metro/rrestaurants and of course the palace of Schoenbrunn. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, Parking in cellar below, under shops and restaurants.

Staying in Hietzing

Neighborhood Profile
Hietzing
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighborhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
