This is our second stay here. We would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anyone. Our room that looked over the shopping area was very spacious, clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and was good to see that after 2 years the cockatoo was still there. The hotel is very close to Schonbrunn Palace and Heitzing Metro station. A very... More

We stayed 6 nights in Ekazent; we found it to be very good for the cheap price! It's in a great location near Schoenbrunn gardens and there are many shops/restaurants nearby (although most were closed when we were there as it was Christmas). The area felt very safe and there is a tram stop right outside. The rooms were spacious... More

It was excellent stay, the best way to go there from vienna airport is to go to wien middling and from there change to line 4 to hutteldorf until station Hietzing, the avg price was around Us$40/night,in surroundings there was some excellent castle and some great bakery, deniz bank is near by..i will recommend this hotel to every one.

Easy to miss the front entrance in a shopping complex - reception on 3rd floor, all a bit unusual - giant room but 2 single beds, anteroom with separate storage room & bathroom, seems a bit old world but not quite there. Breakfast adequate but quite pricey for what is provided. Tiny elevator that only goes to reception floor, you... More

If you are happy with a parakeet having the run of reception - but rumour has it he cannot fly - then it could be for you. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Reasonable price. Location ok. Decor odd and breakfast best avoided.

The room was really large and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was awkward and the shower was difficult for my husband, who is quite tall. We tried the breakfast one time and found it not to be worth the charge. There are bakery cafes right by the hotel that we preferred. Overall it was a great experience in a very... More

The hotel is situated 5 minutes from entrance to the park which leads you to the Schonbrunn Palace main entrance. I visited the hotel in July 2015. I really enjoyed our stay. The staff and the manager were very friendly upon arrival and did a very fast check-in and gave us excellent recommendations for sight-seeing on first day,it was good... More

We (2 Adults + 3 Children) in Hotel Ekazent. Most of the reviews that people wrote are correct. This is an old Hotel but with a very good location for public transportation. Although the hotel is old, the rooms are very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served on the roof with very... More

We've spent three wonderful days in Vienna. The hotel is nice, clean, friendly. It has an excellent location in the 13th district, close to Schönbrunn palace, and has good public transport connections, downtown just 5 stops with the underground.

Staying in Hietzing

Neighborhood Profile
Hietzing
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighborhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
