It is a bit dated, and needs renovation, but is still agood hotel. Close to tram/bus/metro/rrestaurants and of course the palace of Schoenbrunn. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, Parking in cellar below, under shops and restaurants.

It's a hotel were we return after 4 years with pleasure. It's not a modern hotel, but it's clean and exactly near the Schonnbrun park. Location is great, breakfast is also good and with a nice view from the last floor. Wifi is working very good and parking is free on the streets arround.

My husband chose this hotel for price and the decent reviews he read ahead of time. If you're looking for fancy this is not it, but if you're looking for a clean room, some decent amenities, wifi and close location to the ubahn then this location is good. We absolutely were thrilled with this hotel. Breakfast, though not included was... More

The hotel is quite old and need to renovate. However, the room is big enough for two people. The room we got was on 4th floor which you need to walk up the stairs to your room with luggages. There are several restaurant (to-go) around the hotel which is quite convenient. It is closed to Schoenbrunn palace, you can enter... More

Vienna is expensive and this hotel is one of the cheaper stays you will get that has a good location* and parking*. Reception was average, nicest staff we met were the cleaners :-) I'll break this review into 3 parts.. 1 = driving to this hotel and parking 2 = the hotel etc 3 = the location 1. When you... More

The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Schonbrunn Palace (which is breathtaking) and is a 5 minute walk from Heitzing Ubahn station. It takes around 10 minutes by train to many attractions. The hotel is very easy to locate too. On top of that, it is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and marts. The staff were helpful and wifi was... More

Great location if you don't want to be in the city centre, Ekazent sits within a featureless building block atop some nondescript shops, making you wander what you are in for when you approach and climb the stairs past offices to the hotel reception and its resident sulphur-crested cockatoo (mind your fingers!). But the interior is comfortable, if no frills,... More

This hotel is above a small retail precinct but do not be put off. It is clean and the rooms are huge nd there was no noise from other guests. It is a 5 minute stroll to the Ubahn which takes you to the centre in 10 minutes. The side entrance to the Schonbrunn is just across the street and... More

We sleept there for only 1 night, the main reason to choose it was that it is located in vicinity of Schonnbrunn area. We paid 69 Eur/night and additionaly 20 eur for the car...old facility( bit of taste of 80's) but clean and reasonable as price

Staying in Hietzing

Neighborhood Profile
Hietzing
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighborhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
