I stayed here for a week on business and thought it great value for money. Clean and tidy rooms (although some of the single rooms are very small), ok breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. The best thing about this hotel though is the location, close to the top shopping street, the u-bahn, the Nachtmarkt and loads of good well-... More

Extremely small, capsule bathroom where your knees hit the sink when sitting. The bed is tilted and I felt like I was falling out. The parquet floors were coming apart and the room was extremely hot even with the heat off. When you opened the window the street noise was loud and you could also here every word and sound... More

Stayed there with my class for a study trip. The rooms were small but enough for there use. Some of the beds a little small and strong calcify i the bathroom. Useful accommodation for a stay where you aren't that much in the hotel.

Stayed here several times. The hotel is very conveniently located. You can walk to all of the central city and easy to get to by public transportation.Reasonable rates if you deal directly with the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable. Simple breakfast included. Great choice to see Vienna.

Just next to the museumsquartier, all the museums, the naschmarkt, the palace,a shopping street, right everything located right next to this very small hotel. very friendly people. prices good, but have a look at the rooms...they are really what was left over in the 80th and not quite charming. breakfast? go elsewhere! but what are you here for? to sleep?... The elevator is really small, especially with luggage. Breakfast isn't very varied, but ok. The staff is very friendly and I found the room to be surprisingly big. The location is great (little noise at night but you're at important sights and/or tube stations quickly). Nothing fancy but also reasonably priced.

We stayed here after 2 nights in hotel Kummer and you would think this would be of a lot less quality. It is not comparable, but neither is the price! €109 in Kummer for a single and €75 in Terminus for a double leaves a lot of budget to go shopping and sightseeing! The staff at reception is friendly, all... More

The hotel is bang in the central area of Wien. 5 minutes walk to the Mariahilferstrasse - the shopping mile and also the Museums Quarter. Very friendly reception staff. Lent me an umbrella as it was raining, and also helped with addresses etc. Rooms are spacious- good value for money. Breakfast, though is quite limited in terms of menu. Cornflakes,... More

Very friendly hotel, very close to the Hofburg and subway. Almost next to the shoppingstreet Maria Hilferstrasse. The owner Hans was extremely helpful and we felt welcome at the very first moment. We hada a night flight back but we didn't have to arrange a taxi, he took us to the airport. Great service!!!!

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
