My wife and me had a relaxing 6 nights stay at this property in August 2015. Ibis Wien City is sandwiched between 2 train stations with connectivity all over Vienna. Loads of eating options around the area and a large grocery store just across. Rooms were clean and cozy (typical IBIS style) with a decent spread of early morning breakfast... More

Very good customer service. All staff are very courteous and help you out with all your questions. Location: Its a 10 minute walk from the Pilgrimgasse metro. The area around the hotel is pretty quiet but just as you walk 200 m from the hotel there are restaurants. 8/10 Rooms: Clean rooms, Fast wifi and spacious enough! 10/10 Breakfast: Cold... More

The rooms are small and slightly old. May not offer much but we were overall satisfied with the location (10 mins walk from the train station). Aside from that, we were happy by the service provided by the staff. Though slightly shorthanded, they were nice and very helpful.

We only stayed for 2 nights and as such this was a little further out of the city then we would have liked. The receptionist wasn't very friendly or helpful, but the bar man gave us some good tips. Rooms were as you expect for an ibis.very near the metro stop which we used a lot as it was a... More

Pros: Room size is fine, bathroom is not as cramped as the Ibis Munchen City, helpful staff, easy check-in and check-out. Cons: Dirty carpet in room, room was facing the street and can be noisy even staying in higher floors (although we requested quieter rooms), location's a little off but not too far from the attractions by U-bahn.

Stayed for five nights and everything worked perfect - change of towels, sheets without asking for it. Good lightning in room. That doesn´t always happen in a budget hotel. Nice staff and a good selection in the breakfastbuffet. I´ll be back!

This is truly a great hotel - clean, comfortable, great service and affordable (in an expensive European country!). The room was spacious and had enough basic amenities. The location is great too - quiet neighbourhood. There is a new laundry opposite the hotel and a supermarket is just down the street. It's a short walk to the nearest underground and... More

Clean, functional, simple and beautiful room! Incredible service from the reception with a big smile: they gave us helpful tips about parking our car and of course all about Vienna. Also, the metro station is about 15 minutes on foot which is very convenient. Highly recommended!!!

Clean and functional, just as you would expect from a typical ibis hotel. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom suitably equipped. This hotel is quite close to the centre (2 metro/tram/u-bahn stops) which is convenient, but consequently it is noisy outside throughout much of the evening and night. Service generally was excellent: check-in was hassle-free and they... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
