We spent 5 nights here on our recent vacation to Vienna. The property is pretty new (opened in 2012). The lobby is nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel is good, within walking distance of most of the sites. There aren't a whole lot of restaurants nearby, but they are within a 10-15 minute walk near the St. Stephan's... Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your recent experience at the Ritz-Carlton, Vienna. I am so sorry to hear that we did not exceed your expectations which is of course our highest mission. In regards to your rooms, indeed being an historic buidling comprised of 4 old palaces, we tend to have rooms that are a little different in their... More

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite. It was spectacular. The breakfast buffet was delicious. If you wanted a hot dish it was prepared for you. The staff was attentive to all our needs. We were able to walk into the heart of Vienna within 10 minutes. A beautiful park was around the corner. Dinner at The Dstrkt Steakhouse... More

We had a premium room with a king size bed. The room had very high ceilings and a large bathroom but only one sink. This hotel did not have much in the way of character. It's housed in a beautiful old building but the interior is completely modern and unusually drab. The hotel is also quite cavernous and I found... More

Dear Guest, We are so sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay that much with us. I will address some of your points. Some of our rooms do indeed have one sink but I am happy to mention that most thankfully do have two sinks. The hotel is actually comprised of 4 old palaces that have been... More

I went here on a business trip and was joined for a long weekend of leisure by my wife. The hotel effortlessly managed to combine the two which, if you travel on business, you will know is a pretty special thing to do. Great food, cool bars and an outstanding concierge service with excellent and varied reputation. Our room was... More

The hotel was very nice and the rooms were great, but what was remarkable to me was the excellent and helpful staff they have. They made our stay very smooth. overall our stay was very positive but we had to change the hotel for a better location.

I am not typically a fan of the hype surrounding the Ritz Carlton hotel chain. In fact, many of my stays have fallen short of my expectations of receiving "excellent" service, etc. The Ritz Carlton Vienna changed that for me. This fairly new property is set in a former palace and their staff truly treats their guests like royalty. I... More

I would highly recommend this hotel. Upon checkin we were delighted to be upgraded to a suite, so this was a very good start to our city vacation. The room was large, clean and was perhaps the most 'american style' hotel I have stayed in Europe. Since this was the height of the summer heat wave I made use of... More

From the moment of arrival, the Ritz-Carlton was wonderful. The hotel, itself is beautiful. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location, on the Schubertring, was another great benefit allowing us to easily walk and explore Vienna. The staff, from the bellman to the front desk, especially Alexandra, was always smiling , friendly and willing to help guests. I highly recommend... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
