The hotel location was excellent in relation to the museums and parks and the neighborhood was design oriented with some great cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The service was impeccable and the staff was delightful. The breakfast was beautifully prepared with fresh, local ingredients and creative options. We also enjoyed the complimentary espresso delivered to our room each morning.

Everything about this hotel is perfect, from the location through to checking in and out. It is within walking distance of all the major sights of Vienna, St Stephens Cathedral, Hofburg Palace, Museums, etc, and if visitors wish to travel further afield, say to the Schonbrunn Palace, there is a tram stop and underground station almost directly outside the hotel.... This is what a boutique hotel should be! The location is spectacular - close to all the big sites and near the lovely 7th district. The rooms are wonderful. High ceilings, large bedroom, large bathroom, cloakroom and separate toilet. Underfloor heating and natural light in the bathroom. The TV inside the mirror in the bedroom. The staff were wonderful. Booking... More

Even from the moment you walk into this hotel, you know that it will be something special. All of their staff were very courteous and professional. They dealt with tour bookings and inquiries with enthusiasm and patience. They talked to us in a polite, respectful manner but also quietly which I really liked. The rooms are very clean and modern... More

I'm a big fan of 19th century architecture, of which you'll find plenty in Wein. This small boutique hotel is the perfect choice for the self-sufficient traveler who also appreciates some big hotel luxuries. Great attention to detail in the restoration and maintenance of this building. The spa and pool are fantastic. The rooms spacious and clean, with Molton Brown... More

Stayed at this hotel in May 2015 as we were going to see ACDC in Spielberg and wanted a nice base. The hotel is lovely, the room was great, the staff were over and above helpful. Strangely the thing we have spent most of our time talking about was the high tech toilet. It has a heated seat and Bluetooth... More

Reservation was just before high season and rates were comparable to many others in the area. Chic boutique hotel, immaculate, tasteful. Rooms were high ceiling, three open windows if desired, large bedroom, large bath, foyer for dressing. Huge mirror over desk that had a digital TV embedded with international channels. Very cool. Lighting in bedroom was thoughtful and you can... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
