This hotel is actually quite nice. However two things put me off. Firstly the wifi wasn't free so when I got it, I went online and realised that Dial-Up from the 1990's was faster than it. It was so slow and way too slow to be charging for it. Then I got to my room and it was fine apart... More

Hotel is in a great location if you have to catch a train/bus/flight , it's central and can be reached via several buses, trams and metro lines The room was clean and the interior was modern and stylish. The housekeeping staff started cleaning quite early (8am) which can be annoying if you would like to catch some sleep. The bathroom... More

The only good thing about this hotel is being located near the U-bahn. Very small room(much smaller that mentioned), strange bathroom door that leaves a huge crack when you close it(so forget about privacy). We requested a double bed in a reservation thas was made a month in advance but got a twin bed( the reseption told us that they... More

Basic hotel. Was convenient to west bahnhoff station but a bit of a walk to the tourist attractions. About the only hotel in our 5 week Europe trip that didn't offer free WiFi. Small bathroom and different noises throughout the night which I think was the plumbing and pipes. Will try somewhere else next time.

We went to this hotel over the Christmas break. The photos shown on their website are nothing like the reality we encountered. The rooms are really tiny and very uncomfortable. The heating in rooms is over exaggerated and caused us a lot of skin dryness. We were not also impressed with the overall staff service.

A very clean, comfortable hotel, very well located. Within walking distance to many important sights. Staff more than pleasant and helpful. Excellent breakfast offer! Very, very good value for the product. The only thumbs down issue is the charging of wifi in the rooms. Could have been incorporated in the room price.

Nice hotel in great location! 100 meters from the shopping street and railway station. Ease to get to the city by foot or by subway. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. They have a garage if you travel by car, but I would not recommend if you have a bigger car because the garage is very... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
