Our 5 night stay at the Leonardo in Vienna was just perfect. Very clean and very convenient. Yes, the room was small, but we were out every day from early to late. The staff were very helpful and made sure that all our needs were met!

I stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in December for a Christmas Market's tour (through Gate 1 Travel). I have to say, I absolutely LOVED my little single room! It was rather small by American standards, but I thought it was just the right size! My room had a slanted ceiling and a cute little window that overlooked the area. It... More

All in all our stay was enjoyable. This was our third visit and as expected the room was spotless, breakfast outstanding and service very good. A few short blocks from the Westbahnhof gives this Hotel a good location for visiting the many attractions in Vienna. The restaurant Haugenthaler across the street is worth a visit.

we had a difficulty finding the hotel from the Wien Westbahnhof. The lady at the reception looked tired when we came to her. We don't have any complain with the room as it is very clean and facilities are new except that another staff who looked like an Indian was rude & doesn't know how to respect the guest in... More

Very clean, nice cozy interior, excellent location - only 3 minutes walk from the nearest metro station, a descent breakfast. I would put 5 stars if you didnt have to pay for six or nine euros per day for wifi access and if the neighbourhood felt safer after 21:00 in the evening.

The location is what makes this hotel so great. It's right next to one of Vienna's main stations, Westbahnhoff, so you're connected to all the major transport links. The rooms are very modern and exceptionally clean, and room service is extremely efficient. The only problem with the rooms is the sliding door to the bathroom, which doesn't actually close and... Leonardo Hotel in Vienna is excellent in all aspects of resort services. The inner design can be a little more exciting or the provided foods and drinks at breakfast can be more varied - but these features are not relevant. My impression was very very good.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
