This little boutique hotel is in a great location, has lovely uniquely designed, spacous rooms. The staff are phenomenal, so friendly and helpful! A buffet breakfast is on option each morning, there is a lovely garden for sitting out and having your coffee or wine. It's a great hotel if you love wine and wish to try some local wines,... More

We stayed in the enormous Penthouse Atelier Suite. The room itself was great with bottles of Austrian wine dotted all around the room. The price on the wines were very reasonable and we tried (and enjoyed) a few of them!! The staff were professional, friendly and most of all extremely helpful. My girlfriend fell ill on the day we were... More

The company I work for always books this hotel as it is not far from our Vienna office, and as we are in the wine logistics branche it couldn't be suited better, as all the rooms are named after Austrian wine estates! I stayed in 'Paul Achs' and the room was very spacious and conveniently and tastefully decorated/equipped. The breakfast... More

The location is lovely. Out of the tourist path but near lots of great local resturants and bars. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern but the hotel has a lot of charm and personality. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. And the breakfast - wow. A feast!!!

We stayed here for a few nights while in Vienna. The rooms, which were each themed an Austrian wine, were wonderful. They were very spacious, clean, and one of the best showers. The hotel also had a 24 hour wine bar which also served as the breakfast area. Although you had to pay for breakfast it was my favorite breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on our first vacation to Vienna. I can't give enough praise for this hotel. The staff were fantastic - always helpful, kind and courteous, and provided excellent service. The breakfasts were very tasty in a beautiful and comfortable setting. The hotel room was by bar the largest we've ever seen anywhere... More

Much travelling occasionally turns up a hotel that gives as much pleasure as this one. Pleasing design, comfortable and spacious rooms -- all themed around Austrian wines -- and complete and considerate service. The bar area, which doubles as a morning breakfast room, is a perfect meeting place, serving wine and snacks later in the day. The hotel is an... More

By far the largest room and shower I have ever had in Europe. Stayed 3 nights, the staff was so accommodating and friendly. Excellent service, immaculately clean, and great wines. I can't think of a single detail they could have done better. It's also a good location, close to all the sights.

I echo other recent comments - really can't fault anything about this hotel! I booked it for a weekend away with my husband based on other reviews here and it absolutely didn't disappoint. Highlights were: the breakfast!! It's amazing! A rangers honey and jams like I've never seen in a hotel before, great meats and cheeses, fantastic range of healthy... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious, light and full of style. They were really well equipped with all that you would need with some lovely individual touches. The service was excellent- the staff could not do enough for us and they were always incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfasts are very good and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
An unusual hotel concept in Austria’s capital, Vienna. The Hotel Rathaus Vienna Wine & Design represents the Fleischhaker family’s pleasure concept with its vinophile philosophy. At every step you will be confronted by the theme of wine in the modern design hotel: the wine cheese on the breakfast buffet, the wine guglhupf with your coffee, the wine cosmetics in your room – wine is simply everywhere.
Intensive dealing with a vintner is the invitation of each of these 39 tastefully furnished rooms. The individually designed double rooms are each dedicated to a top Austrian vintner, who provides noble wines for the “somewhat different” minibar. The director Conrad Schröpel and his team are happy to share the sensory experience of drinking wine with their guests. The wines of the Vintner of The Month are discussed unpretentiously in the wine lounge over glasses of wine, and knowledge of wines and vintners is exchanged in an uncomplicated manner. Tasting are also naturally organised on agreement – for individuals, interested guests and for small groups or conference participants. Austrian delicacies, prepared according to recipes by the house chef Klaus Fleischhaker, round off the hotel’s unique indulgence offer. ... more   less
