Excellent service and friendly staff, located near the trendy 'Museumquartier', nice rooms, very rich breakfast offer, not noisy. And very good wine that can be tasted ! Great stay, even during the period of Eurovision !

The staff are good, and the room was also good, except for a safety defect. There are small glass shelves on either side of the basin, with a sharp corner. Obvious if the light is on. But otherwise easy to hurt yourself on it. The hotel location is in mainly residential area, with nice eating places, but is also not... More

Dear Mr. Daniel, thank you very much for your stay with us and your kind review on TA. I am more than sorry to learn there was obviously a "safety defect" in your room, although I do not really anticipate what you mean. Otherwise it would have been easier for your own safety if you´d let us know about it... More

This hotel is marvelous. Our room was exquisite and the service amazing and friendly. Far better than any large chain hotel, I recommend it to anyone traveling to Vienna. For those that drink wine, the knowledge and wine selection was delicious.

We spent 2 nights here on holiday. Lovely helpful staff, especially Martina, the sommelier, who helped us choose some terrific local wines to accompany our plates of charcuterie. Superb breakfasts. Huge and comfortable designer bedrooms with everything one could wish for apart from a bath. Wouldn't hesitate to re-book if in Vienna again - totally recommendable. Don't be put off... More

Myself and my boyfriend came to stay here for one night, on a day trip over from Budapest. The hotel itself is beautiful decorated, our room was fantastic. The staff are what really make the hotel, they are all so friendly and want to make your stay memorable. They advised us on what to do in the day and then... More

A bit far from centre but great atmosphere and friendly staff. Stayed there three times. Breakfasts are phenomenal! Great choice of Austrian wines at the bar, worth to try and ask for recommendation. Thanks to this wine-hotel concept we discovered some of our favorites there.

I stayed here with my 7-year-old daughter for four nights, and we could not have been happier. Quiet street tucked behind the Parliament building, walking distance to everything, knowledgeable and helpful staff. They really went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect -- from the cheese plate the first night we stumbled in after a 15 hour... More

Dear Guests from San Francisco, thank you very much for your stay with us and your kind review. Giving us the hint with the "15 hours flight / cheese plate / mother & daughter" makes it easy for everybody here to remember you :)! Good to know you, and above all your little sweetheart, enjoyed your stay with us. It... More

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
