This a beautiful hotel in a great location. The room was very spacious and had great accommodations. The only downside was the cigarette smoke coming from the lounge permeates the halls and came into our room. It was a big disappointment to have a foul smell in such a nice hotel. The walls are pretty thin also. We had extremely... More

My husband and I came just for lunch, but the staff was so wonderful I thought I would write a review. We had a delicious, cheap lunch and even though we barely spent any money here and were not guests, the staff was great. The location is wonderful and the grounds look very clean. The wifi was great. I will... More

LOCATION: This was my first trip to Vienna and arriving by train at the Hauptbahnhof, it was just three stops on the Metro (take the red line) to Stephanplatz and a couple of short blocks walk to the Ambassador. if you enjoy walking, the Museum Quarter is a short distance away. Vienna has one of the simplest to navigate metro... More

It is a really beautiful hotel it is perfectly located, and the staff is realy nice. The rooms are spacious and nice and as a plus the wifi works really well and it is free. But I found that brekfast is not included and if you want to have it you are charged 25 euros per person

Dear perezsoberon, What a wonderful review - thank you for your nice words. Breakfast can be booked as a supplement and is not automatically included in our room rates. In addition to our buffet breakfast for EUR 25,00 per person, the Ambassador offers continental breakfast for EUR 12,00 per person or breakfast a la carte. We would be very happy... More

Old world charm, super high ceilings and located right on the strip of all the many stores and shops. You literally walk out the back door of the hotel and you are in the hustle of everything going on around you. We didn't use any of the hotel facilities other than stay in the room and go straight out into... More

Whether a business trip or personal I always choose to stay here when i visit Vienna now. This was my second stay and once again the hotel did not disappoint. There were a couple of issues over my booking but the staff were very friendly and quickly solved the issues. The rooms are classically decortated but still maintinaing a modern... More

Ambassador Hotel is in perfect location near St Stephens Cathedral and huge choice of restaurants and shops. Other tourist sites are within short walking distance. Taxi stand is in front of hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Staff polite and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation.

My husband & I stayed here for three nights in June 15 & were very happy. By European standards, the room was very big. Bathroom was quite compact but fine. Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
